It is the work of the nurses to improve in the health care of the individuals in society. They are tasked with improving the quality of life and reducing the pain and suffering of the people who seek their services. The nurses can work with the people in society regardless of their gender, culture, religious beliefs, and age; hence they are not discriminative. Nurses provide treatments to the patients who look for their services, and they also engage in educating the society or the community in issues on health maintenance(Parush et al., 2017). They aim at decreasing the rate if the disease infections an occurrence and reducing the mortality rate. They also strive with the community to curb the spread of STI, drug usage, and family planning. The three are the most common problems associated with the young males in a community; hence nurses can work hand in hand to curb such issues and eradicate them.
The nurses can work with the young males in a community to improve health behaviors, which one of the health factors. It is known that young males are the ones targeted with alcohol and drug usage. The nurses can work hand in hand to improve on the health behaviors by educating the young males in the adverse effects of substance usage and alcoholism. Most of the diseases affecting the younger population, especially the males, are caused by poor diet and lack of exercise.AS nurse should introduce programs for young males to exercise for physical fitness and also teach them in the diet (Peters, 2009).It is known that when one engages in drugs and alcoholism, he is likely to forego eating and will significantly impact his health negatively. Sexual activities should be discouraged to curb the spread of STIs and irresponsible sexual behaviors, and young males are always significant culprits. A healthy action does not include tobacco usage since it negatively impacts the health if an individual by accelerating cancer of the lungs, oral diseases, and other health risks. It is the work of the nurses to work hand in hand with the young males to negate such unhealthy behaviors.
Another health factor the warrants the work of the nurse to work with the young males in the community is clinical care. The nurses are tasked with delivering the best health care and should be accessed by all. Some of the requirements of healthcare that touches on young males include family planning services. Without access to quality family planning services, the quality of life and health will decline, and the services will be if the low rate (Ackley & Ladwig, 2010). In mist societies, issues pertaining to family planning have been left to the females, and the males usually shun the exercise. The nurse should encourage the males to take part in the exercise and also encourage them to seek guidance with their spouse to avoid conflicts and misunderstanding. The males can use many forms of family planning, including vasectomy and rubbers.
The last health factor that can be addressed by the nurses and the young males includes issues on the physical environment (Peters, 2009). In most of the urban settings, the water, and the air are usually polluted by factory emissions and industries, the contaminated water and the air is a source of most of the diseases. When the nurses and the young make work hand in hand to address the issue, they will improve healthcare.
