This week you will be developing an essay, as assigned by your chosen packet, as well as revising your Week 1 resume and submitting for additional feedback. Note that both of these items will also be required to be revised and resubmitted in your Final Project Packet in Week 5.

Based on your chosen packet, upload the following to Waypoint:

Option 1: Graduate School Application Packet

· A revised personal resume.

· All feedback from Week 2 should be applied to your resubmission.

· Consider submitting, prior to uploading, to the  Career Resources at the University of Arizona Global Campus Links to an external site. for review.

· A graduate school application essay.

· Your essay should explain why you wish to attend graduate school, and why you are a good fit for a specific program at a specific school.

· Display enthusiasm and gain the attention of the reader.

· If you are preparing an application for a specific school, be sure to address any of the requirements they may (or may not) set.

Option 2: Organizational Application Packet

· A revised personal resume.

· All feedback from Week 2 should be applied to your resubmission.

· An organizational essay.

· Display enthusiasm and gain the attention of the reader.

· Often organizations give you options for what you are to write about. The rationale for writing an essay for a company is that it gives them insight into your ability to professionally communicate. · For this activity, you may choose one of the following two prompts:

· Describe an event or an achievement that helped to mold you into the individual you are today. Describe how this development will also support our company.

· Describe your abilities and passions. Describe how these will support your success in the chosen organization.

Option 3: Military Promotions Application Packet

· A revised personal resume.

· All feedback from Week 2 should be applied to your resubmission.

· An essay.

· The content of this essay should reflect your knowledge gained during your time at University of Arizona Global Campus and how it will support your new rank/position.

Option 4: Generic Psychological Knowledge Packet

· A revised personal resume.

· All feedback from Week 2 should be applied to your resubmission.

· An essay.

· The content of this essay should reflect your knowledge gained and how you will apply it in your life.

The Packet Preparation: Week 3 Assignment must include two  separate documents: your revised resume (from Week 1) and your essay.

· The revised resume should include all aspects listed in Week 1.

· In addition, the revised resume should be edited based on feedback from your instructor. Consider using  Grammarly Links to an external site. and a  Writing Center Paper Review Links to an external site. to increase successful revision.

· List a statement of purpose (graduate school application packet only)

· Outlines a summary of knowledge and skills. See Week One Assignment prompt for examples.

· The essay must

· Be aligned with your chosen packet. (See above.)

· Be two to three pages, excluding the title page and references.

· Have an introduction and a conclusion as described in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center’s resource,  Introductions & Conclusions Links to an external site. .

· Apply the components as described in the University of Arizona Global Campus Writing Center’s  Essay Structure Links to an external site. web page included in your resources.

· Also review  What is Reflective Writing? Links to an external site.

· Exhibit obvious attention to critical thought and understanding of the content, as demonstrated in Samantha Agoos’ TED-Ed Animation,  5 Tips to Improve Your Critical Thinking  Links to an external site. .

· Limit the use of quoted material, utilizing academic voice. See the  Academic Voice Links to an external site. resource for additional guidance.

· Apply exemplary grammar. Remember that this is an important variable for meeting your goals.
