The research articles and resources from this week’s reading assignment focus on educational leadership theory and school reform. Review the resources and then do the following:

1. Assume that you are a school district administrator in a district plagued with low student test scores, high teacher turnover, high student absenteeism, and high suspension rates. You have been asked to present to the school system’s board of education on effective leadership styles for school reform in your district.

2. Create a PowerPoint for your presentation that will explain your style by addressing the following points:

a. Indicate an educational leadership theory that can be used to support decision-making for the identified issues related to school reform.

b. Defend your choices by explaining why you think the educational leadership theory that you identified supports decision-making for issues related to school reform.

c. Identify the leadership actions associated with the educational leadership theories that will facilitate school reform.

d. Indicate at least one educational leadership theory you feel does not support decision-making for issues related to school reform.

e. Defend your choices by explaining why you think the educational leadership theory that you identified will not support decision-making for issues related to school reform.

f. Identify the leadership actions associated with the educational leadership theory that does not support school reform.
