After reading the Propublica article - reflect on the types of problem statement and research question(s) you have if you were going to further explore the issues in this article. Write at least one problem statement and one corresponding research question.

Each student should write a problem statement based on your experience at your field placement or another social work setting. The problem statement should be one sentence followed by minimum 200-word narrative including:

A brief background placing the importance of the problem in social context (i.e. your field placement), and

A discussion of why it is important to study with respect to social work practice, policy and research
