Prominent Leaders

Hi Everyone!

As mentioned before on the Announcement Board, it is not only a requirement in APA to utilize section level headings, but it is also a Forbes School of Business requirement. Your Week 2 paper does need to utilize section headings. Since I like all of my students to be successful, below is the template to utilize for your Week 2 assignment.

My Chosen Leader

Notice the instructions to the assignment indicate to research the Ashford Library (this will provide you with one of the two scholarly sources required, in addition to the textbook) a prominent leader, living or deceased, or a leader you admire. So in this section you will provide a brief discussion about your chosen leader.

Leader’s Style Transactional or Transformational?

Here you identify if the leader has one of these two styles and explain why you believe this leader exhibits this style (provide the definition of the style, in this way you can utilize the textbook or another scholarly source.

Leader’s Demonstrated Leadership Characteristics

Here you explain the different leadership characteristics of your chosen leader. Do your research on the various characteristics.

Aspects of Servant Leadership Exhibited by Leader

Here identify if your leader exhibits any servant leadership aspects and you need to provide examples to support your position. This is another opportunity to utilize scholarly research by defining servant leadership.

Those are your headings. Please don’t get creative or run two or three questions all together. If I can’t find it, I cannot grade it. So everything should be separated out. Remember your research: textbook and at least two scholarly sources. Scholarly sources are “not” newspapers, blogs, Web URLs that end in .com and even some that end in .org, etc. No Wikipedia!
