Running Head: EXISTENCE OF UFOS 1

EXISTENCE OF UFOS 2

Hello All,

Professor Kenny’s speech is about the connection between language and perception. That the languages we speak affect the way we speak. He tries to explain how the different languages help us perceive different things and act in the world and whether speakers of different languages understand and perceive the world differently due to language difference. Speakers of different languages have similar way of perceiving things. Together with Dr. Debra Griffiths they try to explain the use of words; “this” and ‘that” in relation to the distance the object is. He concludes by saying that speakers of different languages are not different.

Condon conducted an experiment on the occurrence of UFO’s to prove the speculations. Condons study has been trying to investigate from UFO reports to try and find any relevant information that could be necessary in the study. He says that people who saw UFOs were people that were mentally disturbed. He concludes that nothing has been witnessed for last few years on UFOS that can be of use for the study. Extensive study on UFO can be done fully by the scientists.

Allen thinks that research on UFO has not been done simply because it faces great ridicule. The study has not been taken seriously simply because they are said to a mass of flying objects, and the fact that only a few people believe to have seen UFO and they believed they are some form of religious visitors. There have been emotional aspects combined with neurotic aspects making the study less considered. From their discussion we can relate UFO phenomena with the consciousness of human being. I think Allen gave the best argument on UFO. The concept of UFO is complex to understand and experiment.
