Hello Class and Professor,
After reading the Case Management Code of Ethics on the CMSA website and comparing it to the ethics of the Social Work Code of Ethics I can conclude that they are similar. They both work in the best interest of the client. A possible ethical dilemma a case manager might face in a moral situation is perhaps a relative calling and the want to seek information about the client. This induvial may be the mom, the father, the sister, or grandparent who has concerns and wants more information on the client. A caseworker who is put in this predicament is not allowed to give out any close-to-home data on the client and they need to make sure they tell the individual they apologize, and they can’t help them with the information. As stated in eh 1.07 act of Privacy and Confidentiality social workers people should regard customers' entitlement to protection, social workers should work within a legal barrier and show kind acts, and social workers must not go beyond the limits.
