Introduction and Outline Worksheet Your Name: Julie Hilton         Date: 12/13/2017 Read through the guide that follows this worksheet. Create an introductory paragraph. Include the following parts: Method of getting reader's attention Background information Thesis statement with plan of development There can be no certainty in life, only in death.  That can mean different things to different people. I have had the privilege of knowing and loving someone that didn’t know death was lurking around the corner. How could he? He was only 19 years old when his last breath was taken. He lived each day with intention. Not the intention of dying, but the intention of living life to the fullest. There is a lot that I have learned from him in life and in death that I would like to share with others; his story and his legacy.   Complete the rest of your outline. Brief notes for each section will suffice.   It is pure freedom to live life confidently with your head held high. Stay true to yourself Live the way you want, but with intention to achieve greatness Stand up for those that are getting bullied Living with confidence and standing up for others is an inspiring way to walk on this earth. There are times when a person can make their mark on this earth and never realize the lasting impact that they make. Alex had an amazing impact on his older and younger brothers (B and C due to technical issues) Alex impacted his peers because he stood up for them. Alex impacted his father and me by his ferocity There are lessons that can be taught by living souls and lessons still to be learned by the spirits that we carry with us every day. While Alex left this world too soon, his legacy and his spirit are still teaching and guiding those that knew and loved him. His youngest brother still respects and appreciates the values that Alex instilled I am following my life ambition   Perseverance to “keep on keepin’ on” There are many things to be learned from the living, but there are incredible lessons to be learned the departed. It is an amazing liberty to live life the way that you want and in the direction, that life leads you. You never know when your next breath will be your last, so don’t waste it. Stand up for those that need standing up for, take unexpected obstacles as they come, be true to who you are. CONCLUSION: The best lesson I have learned is from someone that no longer walks this earth or breathes this air. It is an amazing challenge to live life with intention. It is a challenge that I feel Alex gave to many when he departed. He had an appeal to live life conventionally and on his own terms. There is no second chance, make the chances you get count! The outcome may end in trauma and disaster, but it is better than wondering “what if?”
