Running Head: CLINICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS 1
CLINICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS 4
Clinical Information Systems (eClinicalWorks and Care360)
Description
eClinicalWorks and Care 360 are leading EHR software that are efficient in the way that they help improve the performance an efficiency in the health sector. The Care360 offers ambulatory services and other essential services in the health institutions that include modules for medical billing and patient scheduling. The software is efficient because it helps offer the physicians access to patient information at anytime and anywhere which is efficient for keeping up with the needs and demands of the patients.
eClinicalWorks comprises of combination and integration of physician practices across health institutions that help in provision of patient information with their consent at any time. The EHR software conducts the strategy across health institutions whereby they have the best insights into the systems and they can find any information on any patient across the health sector which is seeking to improve. The software is efficient because it helps in connecting the health practices through the patients’ data which is efficient in improving productivity across the health sector in the country.
Compare and contrast the benefits
The main benefits of the software applications are the fact that they do work to help improve the access to patients’ data and patients themselves which is essential in productivity. It is evident that both the programs are important because they do function to improve the efficiency in the health systems which is a major advantage that is essential to improve the way that the physicians execute their responsibilities (Poon, Wright, Simon, Jenter, Kaushal, Volk & Bates, 2020). It is important to understand that data management is a major problem affecting the health institution and the software applications are functioning to make sure that they do achieve their goals and strategies.
However, the software applications differ in the sense that eClinicalWorks is detailed and comprises of numerous functions that are successful in the improvement of the interactions in the entire health institutions. The system works with the functioning that all health institutions with the systems can share and distribute data with ease and thus help make changes that are substantial to the improvement of the health care (Butler & Johnson, 2019). On the other hand, the Care360 program is essential in other aspects away from the patients care that include finance among other information systems which is vital to the way that they interact. According to DeAngelis (2018), it is important to understand that the EHR program is vital for other planning programs running concurrently with the healthcare practices in the institutions such as planning staff duties among others. The program learns and develops with the organization and this is essential in making sure that they do achieve their goals and strategies.
EHR software solution
The health institution is a stand alone practice and thus it will benefit well from the Care360 program rather than the eClinicalWorks that focuses on connecting health institutions. It is important to understand that the institution from the program because it focuses on patient scheduling, billing modules and also the patient care which is a major advantage to boost health care. It is important to understand the program is better in comparison to the other for the health practice because it helps make sure that there is substantial practice that is appropriate and suitable for the health institution. It is evident that stand alone practices benefit better from practices that will help determine their efficiency to their patients instead of the general health practice which defies their goals and strategies.
