Purpose of Assignment

The final strategic plan is due in Week 6, but it begins with Part 1 in Week 2. Students begin by working on an environmental scan which allows students to dig into the environments of the company selected.

The paper includes an evaluation of the company’s general environment using the PESTLE framework (as given in Figure 2.1 of the textbook). (25 points)

The paper includes an assessment of the company’s industry environment using the five forces framework as given in Table 2.1 of the textbook. (25 points)

The paper includes an evaluation of the organization’s competitor analysis following the framework given in Figure 2.3 of the textbook. (25 points)

The paper uses the External Analysis Frameworks worksheet to do the analysis (see attached to the Week 2 Assignment along with the grading rubric). (10 points)
