Part 2: Unwrapping the Standards
|
Grade Level: Choose a grade level K-8
State Learning Standard: Use an ELA or Math Academic Standard from your state. You need to list the state your standards are from as well as the link. You are choosing your own standard. You may not use 3.RI.7 since it was used in the example plan.
Select this standard with care and thought, as it what you will use from this point on throughout the remainder of the course. I am happy to help you choose one that leans itself nicely to the assignments if you wish, just reach out. Here are links to AZ if you are using AZ standards: ELA Standards: http://www.azed.gov/standards-practices/k-12standards/english-language-arts-standards/ Math Standards: http://www.azed.gov/standards-practices/k-12standards/mathematics-standards/
To write your standard, please write: The code then description. Again, you may NOT use 3.RI.7. (Example) 3.RI.7 Use information gained from illustrations (e.g., maps, photographs) and the words in a text to demonstrate understanding of the text (e.g., where, when, why, and how key events occur).
