DISCUSSION 1 Business strategy is most important one for any organization, without business strategy they can’t move forward. business strategy will drive IS strategy and organizational strategy, these all are seeks achieve the goal and vision of the organization. strategy is all about fulfil the vision of organization and how to proceed in the future for achieving mission and vision. There are two things in that 1. IS strategy and 2. Organizational strategy these two are acts major role in the business strategy. There is a triangle relationship between business strategy with IS strategy and organizational strategy. IS strategy being mainly for information it usually updates for reliability and transparency purpose, without updates the new information strategy it’s not enough for the rapidly changing world (Place, 2018). For achieving future vision and goals the main thing is strategy, need some imaginary path for understanding the struggles in the business. For that organizational strategy will help us to deliver good production to the customers. If the business strategy is not the driver, you can’t estimate the future and never understand consequences (Taneja, 2016). It would affect the company future why because technology changes rapidly and competitors also come with different strategies, so if you need to sustain in the market you have to come with one strategy otherwise never sustain with competitors. Many companies are closed due to this means they also have some strategy but it is not enough for the competitors then they not at all give competition, so the will gone sooner or later. In any organization there is some strategy when come into market, it’s like a backbone. References: Place, K. R. (2018, March). It represents the core value of an organization. It is the reason an organization exist along with a forward-looking desired future of the business. The corporate level strategy creates the action plan to achieve the organizational objective. It cascades down through functional levels of finance, production, IS etc. Therefore, in theory business strategy should align. (Buller, 2019) Research has proven the best results for the organization with business strategy, that when managers understand and appreciate their organization’s information systems, they can utilize these information systems in the organization’s business processes and initiatives such as expansion, quality management, downsizing among others. The business strategy provides the backbone for the entire organization’s operations and goals/objectives. For an organization to have an adequately synchronized business strategy, organizational strategy, and IS strategy, the company’s business strategy must be defied as well as followed through with. The business strategy provides the organizational and IS strategy with the guidelines and mission of their departments. This allows for the leaders of those business units to strategize and deploy initiatives based on the goals and objectives set out by the business strategy. The frameworks of the business strategy are also critical – from the cost leadership, to the differentiation to the focus of the organization, the way the business strategy is laid out provides the basis for the organizational and IS strategy. (Oluikpe, 2018) Important steps in understanding past performance and formulating and monitoring strategy may include: Historical analysis to determine key drivers of business and set key performance indicators (KPI’s). Implementation of management information systems to facilitate the extraction of KPI’s and other important information. Monitoring KPI’s to track performance. So, in conclusion an effective business strategy should clearly identify where your business is headed and create cohesion within an organization to achieve the target goals. It should not only define the destination but also set out the best route and provide the tools with which to measure progress along the way. It is critical to continually assess progress and if warranted, realign your strategy and your business. (Oluikpe, 2018) Reference Buller, P. F., & McEvoy, G. M. (2019).
