need help with making an action plan
What company are you planning to use for your process improvement plan?
The company I plan to use my process improvement plan is Kellogg’s Brown and Root (KBR). They are a company that aids government entities in need of manpower. KBR provides personal with experience in engineering, construction, aerospace, and more. I was recently started working as a logistics contractor.
Why do you plan to develop a process improvement plan for this company?
I noticed when I needed ask a question about who I need to speak to about a specific task. I would ask 5 to 7 different people. I would get 5 to 7 different names of personal who accomplished the task. I was going in a circle and getting nowhere. There were not any documents to say how things needed to be followed. But I believe it would be easier on the company if a system were put in place for employee turnover. Additional employee training will assist in closing these knowledge gaps when and where they are identified. Standard operating procedures (SOPs), detailed work steps and contact numbers should be stored in a controlled document repository with limited access, but readily available both online and offline in case of emergencies (Bryant).
What are some examples of known deficient processes?
Deficiencies that caught my eye first was no one would really have in writing how to file paperwork. We are to keep certain documents after processing an item before delivery. Next came how packages were entered into the systems we used to track packages. No real responsibility of who does what task, only we done it this was in the past.
