DISCUSSION PEER REVIEW ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS Research is often peer-reviewed. In this course, your classmates will conduct a peer review of your research ideas. Each peer review discussion session will span 2 modules: weeks in order to give adequate time for all students in the group to have their work reviewed by their fellow group members. A research peer review is the process of evaluating and encouraging research design and products by peers. Peer review is routinely used in 2 phases of a research project: the design creation and evaluation phase, and the research results and conclusion phase. In each 2-module period, you will be required to present a portion of your research design as developed to this point in the program. During the first module of each review, all students will post their assigned research material. During the second module, you and your classmates will provide feedback on each other’s designs. The instructor will place you into a "peer review team" at the beginning of the course. You will be required to post an element of your planned research work based on a prompt provided. You will then assist your classmates, along with the instructor, by reviewing the work posted. You are to make constructive comments designed to aid your classmates in the development of their research work. Each peer review discussion will be graded based on the original submission and the contribution you make the community learning process. Your team will provide a meaningful review of the work of a group of peers.
