Summary of strengths:

The overall score for the professional skills is confident where I am confident when maintaining professional boundaries and therapeutic relationship with clients and staff, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to improve clinical practice in mental health settings, identifying ethical and legal dilemmas with possible resolutions, demonstrating non-judgmental practice approach and empathy, and practicing within scope of practice.

Secondly, I am confident on Selecting and implementing appropriate screening instrument(s), interpreting results, and making recommendations and referrals where am confident when demonstrating selecting the correct screening instrument appropriate for the clinical situation, implementing the screening instrument efficiently and effectively with the clients and interpreting the results for screening instruments accurately.

Thirdly, on comprehensive psychiatric evaluation skills I am confident when recognizing clinical signs and symptoms of psychiatric illness across the lifespan, performing and interpreting a mental status examination and performing and interpreting a psychosocial assessment and family psychiatric history.

The other strength is on overall diagnostic reasoning skills where I am confident when developing and prioritizing a differential diagnoses list, formulating diagnoses according to DSM 5-TR based on assessment data and differentiating between normal/abnormal age-related physiological and psychological symptoms/changes. On pharmacotherapeutic skills I am confident when evaluating patient response and modify plan as necessary and documenting (e.g., adverse reaction, the patient response, changes to the plan of care). On Self-assessment skill I am confident when evaluating outcomes of practicum goals and modify plan as necessary. Lastly, on psychotherapeutic Treatment Planning I am confident when providing psychoeducation to individuals and/or any caregivers and promoting health and disease prevention techniques. All these strengths are where my confidence level is high and I am in a better position to complete the assigned tasks using my available skills independently without the help of others.

Opportunities for growth:

Areas with opportunity for growth is where I can complete well with supervision or need supervision to feel comfortable. These areas provide the opportunity for growth in confidence when they are worked upon. They include under comprehensive psychiatric evaluation skills, they are differentiating between pathophysiological and psychopathological conditions, performing, and interpreting a comprehensive and/or interval history and physical examination (including laboratory and diagnostic studies) and performing and interpreting a functional assessment (activities of daily living, occupational, social, leisure, educational).

Under pharmacotherapeutic skills opportunity for growth is on Selecting appropriate evidence based clinical practice guidelines for medication plan, selecting appropriate evidence based clinical practice guidelines for psychotherapeutic plan, applies age-appropriate psychotherapeutic counseling techniques with individuals and/or any caregivers and developing an age-appropriate individualized plan of care.
