Hello Everyone,
Alexa is one of the most advanced AI virtual assistant which is being fed with many new skills to handle things that we do regularly. With the help of Alexa we can operate many things just by giving a single command. Ordering coffee from Starbucks is also the same. We can now order our favourite coffee from home by giving command to Alexa device. In order to enable this skill there is a prerequisite that you must have ordered a coffee from your mobile application at least once so that this virtual assistant can read that data from your application when linked and can reorder it. We also need to enable this skill in Alexa by giving a command to enable or manually do it in the Alexa application and link our Starbucks account. Once this setup is done we can order our coffee by giving either of the command like “Alexa, tell Starbucks to start my usual order” or “Alexa, tell Starbucks to place an order” or “Alexa, tell Starbucks it's coffee time” Once the order is placed we can check the estimated time in the Starbucks application and reach the location accordingly. If we want to change our preferences like location or coffee flavour, we should have ordered that previously from Starbucks mobile application. Once we place the order and reach the location we can mention that we placed a mobile order and our order will be delivered. We can also change our preferred payment methods and also check balance by giving commands like "Alexa, tell Starbucks to change my payment method" and "Alexa, tell Starbucks to check my balance" respectively. Once setup we can order our regular coffee at a single command from home. Convenience is one of the biggest advantages with virtual assistant like Alexa.

Examine Alexa’s skill in ordering drinks from Starbucks.
Alexa is a smart assistant developed by Amazon that can be used to perform various tasks. It uses Artificial Intelligence to perform most of the tasks. Alexa comes inbuilt into amazon devices. It can also be installed as an app on any smart device like a phone, tablet, and computer (Sharda, Delen, & Turban, 2019). A user can ask Alexa to save shopping lists, call a friend, play a song, order something from Amazon, etc. Alexa works with various other applications on the phone. One of the applications is the Starbucks app. A user can ask Alexa to re-order a particular coffee from older orders, and check the account balance in Starbucks account (Sharda, Delen, & Turban, 2019). .
Even though the features of Alexa are very useful, there are few features that are missing in Alexa-Starbucks integration. Features like ordering a new item from the menu rather than from historical orders from the account are not present. Another issue with the app is that it lists out only the stores that the user already visited. Any new store which is closer than the one already visited will not be listed. Some of the major advantages of Alexa, apart from the above, includes hands-free calling, calendar integration, playing music, home automation, real-time news updates, and schedule alarms (Sharda, Delen, & Turban, 2019).
