Telemedicine is an emerging concept in the healthcare domain where healthcare professionals use Information Communication Technology (ICT) techniques to render services to many people, including areas where distance is the main factor (Nittari et al., 2020). During the communication, the patient and the healthcare personnel exchange information for diagnosis and question-answer sessions to ensure that service is provided over the communication technology devices.

Telemedicine history spans back to the early 20th century when people in war could not get the services of nursing professionals. The USA army in 1960 communicated with nurses in American hospitals who prescribed medication from remote areas. In contemporary society, patients can access medical services remotely, especially in medically underserved areas (Calton et al., 2020). For example, a person can receive better services through a phone call where they will explain their situation, and a prescription follows.

Telemedicine plays two critical roles in the healthcare domain to improve the quality of life. Consultation, diagnosis, and treatment are the first services offered by telemedicine as the patient can communicate with the physician online and explains their situations. The physicians on the other side hear the condition and prescribe medication. The different role is research which makes it possible for the medical practitioner to collect information about a particular community without physically visiting them.

Telemedicine is beneficial to both the patients and the doctors. Patients enjoy increased access to care where they can get the services of a doctor without traveling to the healthcare facility (Dorsey & Topol, 2020). Further, preventive maintenance is made easy as the doctors can use the avenue to caution the patients to take note of new infections and how to get rid of them. On the side of the medical personnel, they have an opportunity to increase their revenue generation since they can attract people from different parts of the world.

Telemedicine is disadvantageous because its implementation is slow, and only 26 states in the USA have insurers who are willing to cover the medication. On the other hand, the information recorded may be inaccurate as the ability to communicate effectively differ from one person to another (Calton et al., 2020). Hackers may also take advantage of online communication to take important information which they can use for personal gains. On the side of the doctors, they cannot examine to confirm the information provided by the patients.

The future of telemedicine is more promising because it serves as an alternative way of the government serving its populations. Therefore, the field is likely to receive more investment from both the public and private sectors (Dorsey & Topol, 2020). Decentralized care is expected to become more common as creating a telemedicine center is cheaper than operationalizing a healthcare facility.

Telemedicine is the use of communication technologies and electronic information for provision of healthcare to patients separated from healthcare providers by distance. Telemedicine is often used for patients who are located in different places. Healthcare providers are likely to use video conferencing as the preferred telemedicine mode (Saleem et al., 2020). There has to be communication between the healthcare professionals and the patients. Information technologies are used for displaying, retrieving, analyzing, manipulating and storing data.

The development of telemedicine in the modern form started during the 1960s. Space technology and military drove the use of telemedicine. Telemedicine was popular in the rural areas because individuals living in such places had limited access to healthcare. The concept was researched by NASA and the Public Health Department extensively. The first telemedicine program was conducted by NASA in 1989. Telemedicine has recently been adopted in many healthcare organizations and by healthcare providers to provide care to patients. Telemedicine has had significant uses on healthcare (Dorsey et al., 2020). It has been used for supervising primary care and evaluation of patients for stabilization or transfer decisions. Telemedicine has also been used for consultations and provision of healthcare. It has been used to monitor and track patient status.

The advantages of telemedicine include accessible patient care, convenience, healthcare savings and cost effectiveness, increased patient engagement and better quality of patient care. Telemedicine enables patients to access healthcare remotely. Virtual care increases convenience because patients in remote areas do not have to visit healthcare centers every time. They can save a lot of money on transportation costs (Hatcher-Martin et al., 2020). It is easier to engage patients using telemedicine. The disadvantages include technical equipment and few in-person consultations. Telemedicine requires use of technical equipment. Healthcare professionals might have to be trained on the use of technical equipment. There has been an increase in the use of telemedicine. Pandemics such as Covid-19 accelerated the use of telemedicine. Telemedicine is expected to grow in future. There will be significant developments in the use of technology to provide healthcare to patients in different areas.

The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) describes the preventive services for various diseases. It provides recommendations on the prevention of diseases such as sexually transmitted diseases. The USPSTF recommends behavioral counselling as a preventive measure for adolescents. Adults and sexually active adolescents should undergo behavioral counselling. Around 20 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases occur yearly in the US (Krist et al., 2020). The rates of syphilis, gonococcal and chlamydial have been increasing. Adolescents should be screened for various sexually transmitted infections. Healthcare professionals should provide counseling in person. They should provide information about the transmission of STS and safe sex.

The strength of the source is that it explains how to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections. Providing counselling to adolescents can help prevent the spread of such diseases. Counselling enables adolescents to understand that they should practice safe sex. It also enables them to acquire adequate information about the spread of sexually transmitted infections. The source is regularly updated. It provides up-to-date information about the prevention of diseases such as sexually transmitted infections (Henderson et al.,2020). The benefit of the source is that it provides great insights on the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. The information in the source can be used to educate individuals about the sexually transmitted diseases.

There would be a need to modify the information about sexually transmitted diseases. The source needs to include information about the effects of sexually transmitted diseases. There should be information about causes, signs and symptoms of the sexually transmitted diseases. Information about causes of STIs would enable adolescents to understand how they can protect themselves from such diseases. Including the signs and symptoms of STIs would also help the adolescents to understand when they get infected with such diseases (Kalamar et al.,2018). The source should have more ways of preventing STIs. It explains that behavioral counselling should be used; however, there are other methods that can be used to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

My topic is Dementia. According to the suggestion, "Cognitive Impairment in Older Adults: Testing", The USPSTF located that the proof is insufficient to analyze the balance of benefits and harms of evaluating for cognitive impairment in older adults. This referral is for Community-dwelling grownups 65 years as well as older without acknowledged indicators or signs and symptoms of cognitive impairment (Livingston, et al., 2020). It does not apply to persons that are hospitalized or staying in institutions such as taking care of residences. I believe testing is for dementia in elderly is really vital. Worldwide, the population is aging, causing a connected boost in mental deterioration occurrence. Forgetfulness in elderly people is often perceived as normal in some local cultures and therefore, the early detection of dementia in primary care requires detection of signs other than memory problems. Among the usual problems connected with ageing is mental deterioration (Livingston, et al., 2020). It is specified as a dynamic and also mainly permanent professional syndrome that is defined by a widespread problems of mental feature.

Dementia causes a high burden of enduring to individuals as well as their family members. For the clients, it brings about boosted dependency as well as complicates other co-morbid conditions. For the family members, looking after an individual with mental deterioration might cause anxiety, clinical depression and raised time invested looking after a loved one. Although health care is the very first point of call for senior in the community, over half of the elderly populace who provided with mild as well as moderate dementia have never obtained the medical diagnosis of dementia (Arvanitakis, et al., 2019). The challenge in acknowledging mental deterioration in its onset is that senior individuals are typically absent-minded and also therefore this sign is typically regarded as a typical part of aging in some regional cultures. Onset signs and symptoms are typically unclear and also much less most likely to offer as overt memory issues. Research studies considering the early indicators of dementia located signs of disturbance of everyday performance, fixation on emotional occasions and also disruption of day-night rhythm as discussions of onset of dementia apart from the viewed loss of memories Mental deterioration is most typically diagnosed using the Mini Psychological state Evaluation (MMSE) which is acknowledged as the gold standard for cognitive screening (Arvanitakis, et al., 2019). MMSE is just one of the most recognized and also widely used tools to analyze for cognitive impairment and also dementia in the senior in spite of its limitations.

Roles of a risk manager in healthcare organization

A risk manager has several roles in a healthcare organization involving risk assessment and reporting. They have the role of identifying existence of risks in the healthcare organization. Identification of risk is done through analysis of trends and use of available data. This approach identifies risks that would have been difficult to mask. Once the risks has been identified, they are quantified and prioritized. Risks can be given scores based on the seriousness of the situation. Risks that require urgent attention are given first priority. The next step involves investigating and reporting sentinel events. Events should be reported to the relevant departments that will consequent initiate measures to address the problem. In addition to the basic duties of identifying and responding to risks, a risk manager is also responsible for education other staff on risks. Education should also include aspects such as risk policies and liabilities (Zadeh et al, 2018).

How legal counsel should work with a risk manager at an institution to achieve a collaborative environment?

The role of a legal counsel in healthcare organization is to advice the institution on legal aspects and ensure their practice is in compliance with the laws to avoid troubles with law regulators. Risk managers should work closely with legal counsel in assessing the consequences of some risks that may results in legal repercussions. Understanding the legal repercussions will assist the risk managers in quantifying risks. In healthcare institutions, some risks especially that relates to patients risks are serious and may interferes with the reputations of the healthcare institution. Some of this risks include medical errors that might result to legal cases. They may also provide information on risk assessment through some interventions such as interviewing case witnesses (Lapuyade & Sorkin, 2013). This information will be useful for the risk managers in assessing the risks and possible future events.

The roles of healthcare risk management are just as fulfilling as they are challenging. These duties revolve around regulatory compliance or claims management, data security, and patient safety. One may have to establish and impose risk management plans, conduct audits on other third parties such as vendors, train workers, and discourse incidents that may happen (Staniland, 2022). The risk manager's role is to recognize and reduce losses that may result from medical malpractice, failure to meet accreditation and regulatory compliance, and work-associated injuries.

The risk managers do not directly care for patients, although they may have to help patients and their families when things go wrong. They also coordinate their roles with other medical personnel and departments or teams (Moskowits & Munichiello, 2020). Other roles comprise detecting and managing risk exposure, maintaining and updating organizational policies, improving documentation practices; the finding was to minimize organization's legal exposure, monitor risk management processes, create and maintain risk management processes, promote a safe work surrounding, taking steps to avoid data breaches,  investigating any occurrences that can result to injuries or death, and recognizing failures, like the utilization of drugs which can interact with one other.

Risk managers must work collaboratively with legal counsel, although attaining such a working relationship is not automatic. There are various communication steps that the two parties can adopt to achieve such a relationship ("Work Carefully With Counsel to Ensure Best Results", 2018). First, the legal counsel and the risk manager must understand one another's responsibilities and roles. They should also develop good communication early enough before a case comes up. Risk managers with legal backgrounds must avoid overstepping their duties.

Legal counsels need to hold face-to-face meetings with hospital risk managers as it offers better communication than documents or emails. Medical expertise liability cases are among the most complex medical cases to prosecute and require a defense company with specified knowledge, successful track records, and knowledge ("Work Carefully With
