WEEK 1

Post a paragraph (about 200–300 words in length) responding to the following questions:

· Do you behave and communicate differently online than you do face-to-face? How so? Give specific examples.

· What does it mean to be "fully human"? Considering your definition, do you think we can be "fully human" while interacting with others in a virtual space like this classroom? Why or why not?

WEEK 3

· Consider the imagery you created in your mind as you interacted with the written version of  The Open Window.  Describe this imagery and discuss whether it helped you understand the story. Did the imagery or imagined tone change when you listened to the audio?  How?  

· After watching the video, have you changed your mind about the stories or the characters? If so, describe the change and why you think this happened? 

· Since technology has made it easier to share visual versions of written works, does that impact our need to “see to believe” or influence how easily we understand material we have read but not seen?

WEEK 4

Post a response (at least 200-300 words) to the following: 

You are a magazine writer assigned to write a profile of the person who influenced your choice of degree program - not just going back to school or pursuing an education but choosing your specific field.   OR, you can select a person who has contributed to your chosen field of study significantly.

Write 200-300 words describing your chosen field of study, WHY this person was important to your decision to pursue education in that field OR HOW the person you chose has contributed to your field. The person can be living or dead. Do not spend time on physical details like eye color or height but do include birth and death, if applicable, dates. You only have 200-300 words to describe the very essence of this person and the impact they have had.

In addition to your biographical description of your chosen person, include a couple sentences to responding to  at least one of the following questions:

· From among this week's biographies, who do you think your chosen person would have wanted as a friend and why?

· From among this week's biographies, who might have been a good mentor for your person? Or who might your person have mentored?

· Does your chosen person share any character traits with people from this week's resources?

WEEK 5

Post a two-part response.

Part 1

In the first paragraph, write 100-150 words

· Describe the image you selected from the Lascaux caves. Include the title, where in the caves the image can be found, and the approximate age. 

· If you were the artist, what message would you hope future viewers would get from your painting? Why would you have created the image?

· Describe your impression of the world the image portrays.

Part 2

In a new paragraph, write 100-150 words

· Describe your chosen significant object, including the artist or maker (if they are known to you), where the object can be found, and when it was made. If it is a painting or a photograph, describe the use of color, line, shadow, and style of the image. If it is a song, describe the melody, musical genre, performance. 

· Include an image or link to the object or medium.

· Explain how this object represents a part of your academic journey or connects to your professional goals for the future and what message it would convey about you as a Walden student to future viewers.

· Find at least one source that relates to your chosen significant object and explain how it is connected. You can find sources on the Walden Library, or by using a search engine like Google. Don’t forget to list the resource at the bottom of your post. 

· Ex. If the object is a quilt made by a family member, look up quilts or family gifts. Consider the bigger categories that your significant object falls within as areas to research.
