REPONE STEP 3
WE DONE STEP 2
Step 2: Create your first post by Wednesday, March 24 at 11:59 p.m. Your post needs to be a minimum of 200 words. In it, you should respond to one or two of the following questions noted in the article:
1. Should xenobots have biological kill-switches in case they go rogue?
2. Who should decide who can access and control them?
3. What if "homemade" xenobots become possible? Should there be a moratorium until regulatory frameworks are established? How much regulation is required?
It WAS:
By reading the article and according to my understanding, all the cenobites should have had kill-switches in case they become dishonest. For instance, engineers have engineered xenobiotic that depends passively on specific synthetic environmental functions. This enables the xenobiotic to kill themselves immediately they are outside the designated environment. Again the engineers should ensure they develop a certain switch connection that can enable them to switch off or kill the xenobiotic once they start misbehaving. The government should create a special unit responsible for dealing with all robotics, including xenobiotics. There should be created a policy or some law to govern the use of robotics. For example, the law should be stating who is authorized to use xenobiotics or who should license people who own the xenobiotic or the robots. In case there is an increased risk of "homemade" xenobiotics, nobody should be allowed to operate them till the law that governs that specific sector is introduced. This can help curb down all the effects that can be brought by the use of the xenobiotic in society. It is very dangerous to allow everybody to operate or own the xenobiotics aimlessly without any regulation. This can bring great harm.
Step 3: Respond to a post from one of your peers. Discuss how you agree and/or disagree or respond to a certain aspect of their argument. This post should be at least 150 words.

I think that xenobots should have biological kill-switches in case they go rogue especially since we know anything that has to deal with Artificial Intelligence (AI) deal with a ton of problematic situations. Since we know that living robots is something new that scientists, engineers, and doctors are trying to perfect, there should definitely be more than just one kill-switch. It is always better that we prepare for the worst case scenario instead of being clueless on what to do in a bad situation where as the kill-switch is malfunctioning or the xenobot got smarter. When it comes to who will have access and control over these living robots I would be ready for the scientists who created them and who know all about them. We can not have people who are not suited for the job being in control of xenobots but there should be strict and clear rules/guidelines so no one can take advantage of any given situation and do as they please. In no way, shape, or form should xenobots become possible to be made at home. This type of information should not be accessibly to the general public at any given time. Not all people are qualified to build such advanced and possibly dangerous technologies. Humans have proven to be selfish and untrustworthy of such information.
