Website Review (WSR)
Use Microsoft Word to generate a review of your favorite web site; convert the DOCX
to a PDF and submit both files to me in the Assignments area of Blackboard (Bb). If your
name were Phil Payne, save your file as: “p_payne_wsr”
The review submitted to me must fit on one page that has margins set to 1.75”
for top/bottom and sides.
Enter and center the title, “My Favorite Website”, at the top of your page using a 14
pt font size. The title line requires a 0 pt spacing before and 16 pt spacing after.
Make your title: My Favorite Website a hyperlink that will allow me to access your
web site, i.e., if I click on the title, I will view your favorite website.
Compose a paragraph that describes the nature of the page and your interaction/use
of content. Use a 12 pt font.
Below the paragraph, add a bullet list that uses a check mark (20 pt size) from
Word Symbols.
For each bullet item, a minimum of two, use a 12 pt text size to identify the reasons
the web site is your favorite. Make sure the first bullet has a 20 pt space below the
paragraph.
The space between the required two listed items and any additional points you might
add, must be 14 pt.
Insert a text box below the last bullet item in the center of the page. Enter the
URL address in the form . . . http:// . . . in the text box. Make sure the linked site
accesses your favorite site and has a 20 pt space below the last bullet item. Below
the URL, but still in the text box, add your name and course section, e.g., Don Wood
– DLxx (use your name and section). Center the content in the text box.
Insert a book symbol from Word Symbols to the bottom of your page. Again, use a
20 pt space from the above text box. Center the book symbol and change the color
to Bold Purple.
Add a page border of your choice. Save and convert to a PDF; then submit both files
in the Assignments area of Blackboard (Bb). In the submission area, enter “Here is
my WSR for <website name>.
