Introduction

The use of technology has increased in the current world of business. Regardless of the type of service offered in an institution, it facilitates easy and fast delivery of products, while it also ensures effective communication. While communication is important in every aspect of an organization, good planning ensures the timely achievement of the objectives of every institution. The aim of this research is to identify the use of web content, the strategies used by different organizations to ensure effective communication, and ensuring that they meet their objectives.

Sound Cloud

Sound cloud is a social platform for the distribution of online audio. The website allows its uses to promote, share, and upload audio. The company is based in Berlin, Germany, and was launched in 2008 after it was started in 2007 by Alexander Ljung and Eric Walhforss (Giannetti, 2014). Since its launch, the Sound cloud has gained numerous registered users, and having won many entrepreneurship awards, it has grown to be one of the largest and leading companies in the music industry necessitating streaming to approximately a 175million people worldwide. It also has ensured the hosting and sharing of original music.

With the prime target being ensuring security and good quality of the music they produce and share, the Sound cloud gives a collaborative, secure, and platforms that can be customized according to music writers and the market. The platform allows the users to share and upload audio files, review comments sent by the viewers and listeners as well as reviewing the statistics from the listeners. The site has moved further to allow artists to upload their own creations and access other music through the creation of a free account. Giannetti (2014) further explains that the Sound cloud has also enabled music accessibility by the creation of the free account and paid membership that are available on mobile and desktop devices. The step enables easy accessibility and it enables its users to obtain quality music that is free from ads. With the market targeted distributed worldwide, Sound cloud has received aid from social media platforms like Twitter and has embedded applications like Facebook, Pinterest, and Tumblr that enables users to access music from the website easily without visiting it. While also working on mobile and desktop devices accessibility, Sound cloud has catered for its target market and ensured originality and quality of the music the site contains.

Having assisted artists to succeed by launching and advancing their careers, Sound cloud’s effectiveness is well identified. Comments from famous artists like 50 cents have revealed how the site has played its role in promoting music-making in the community and enhancing a collaborative and deepened interaction with listeners as well as creating branches in London and other parts of Europe. Sound cloud has therefore played important role in moving the music industry to higher sites and developing individual artists.

Starbucks

Starbucks is a corporation formed by an American multinational link of coffee houses and roaster reserves. The headquarters are in Seattle, Washington and it forms the world’s biggest coffeehouse chain. The corporation was founded in 1971and has since grown by expanding its services in different countries in the world. Since its formation, Starbucks corporation main objective has been to supply coffee products as well as food products in the various branches it contains (Read, 2006). With the processing of coffee products, the corporation ensured an adequate supply of the products and market. By 2008, Starbucks had centers in many states of the United States and in Europe and other continents. In San Francisco, the corporation started with restaurants to obtain customers who after learning that they were owned by Starbucks, the company converted them into cafes. Also, in Austria, the company opened its stores in 2000, before it opened its stores in Mexico in 2002.

With its main target is selling its products in the world, Starbucks Corporation has taken steps to ensure quality services to its customers. The company developed and launched a community website with the aim being to collect feedback and suggestions from customers (Schofield, 2008). To motivate its customers, Starbucks also introduced a loyalty program for those who had the Starbucks card to give free refills on iced coffee, brewed drip coffee, and tea (Read, 2006). As a means to embrace technology and simplifying service delivery to its customers, a mobile platform was tested and launched. The mobile application for the Starbuck’s card contained a value system that enabled customers to access prepaid funds and buy commodities at the corporation’s stores and cafes.

In the bid to communicate with its customer and other targets in the world, the company not only used the website but also social media platforms. Twitter was used to buy gift cards for new customers who joined through the platform and others like Yahoo. Additionally, through partnering with Apple and collaborating on selling music, the company has been able to communicate with its customers and obtain new buyers of their products. While the company has been developing since its formation, the opening of many branches in many parts of the world has proved its effectiveness and its role in the developing world's economy.

Arizona State University

Arizona State University “is a public research metropolitan university" based in Arizona. The institution contains five campuses in the Phoenix Metropolitan area and additional four regional learning centers (Liu, Jin & Rockwood, 2012). The university exists as one of the largest public universities in the United States. With approximately 90,000 students attending classes, 38,000 attending online, and another 100,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The university's organization includes17 colleges with more than 170 institutes offering undergraduate students more than 350 degree options and close to 400 graduate degrees.

With the main objective being offering education to the various groups of students, the university has organized its campuses into more distinctive institutions that allow the various institutes to work on various submissions of the main mission. The Polytechnic campus focus is on technological and professional programs that aim at direct workforce preparation. It holds the major part of the university's laboratories and simulators that are committed to project-based learning (Liu, Jin & Rockwood, 2012). The Temple campus focuses on research and graduate programs while the West Phoenix is designated with Interdisciplinary studies and liberal arts. Further, the Down Phoenix campus is designated with public programs such as nursing, criminal justice among others. As a means to utilize technology as a means to ease the studies, the university provides online education through its virtual campus.

With the efforts made to ensure effective communication, the university utilizes the campuses in the various States to deliver services. By working as a distinctive unit, every campus is able to focus on its designated goal towards achieving the main mission of the university. While working with the various campuses, Arizona State University ensures quality education is delivered and maintains its state of being among the largest in the United States. The state has ensured the effectiveness of the institution in its aim to offer education services to both physical and distant students. It further ensures that the community obtains the benefits of the institution.

Conclusion

With the advancements in technology, every business organization at its level requires to embrace its use in ensuring effective communication and meeting its objectives. Website content facilitates the use of different platforms to share information with the targeted receiver. Once utilized to its maximum, it ensures the smooth and simple running of events in every organization. It therefore should be incorporated and where it exists, more advancements should be made to ensure objectives are easily met.
