900 Sq. Ft. of possible warehouse space

Data needed from client:

- Dimensions and layout of space – to include height of ceilings, locations of outlets, entrance/exit doors, bay doors, windows, any obstacles. ADDED THIS TO OUR DOCUMENTS LABELED SCHEMATIC; WE CAN RUN ELECTRICITY WHEREVER WE NEED IT; LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL REQUESTS

- Sales data- purpose to identify most used items for possible inclusion in storage plan. I HAVE ATTACHED TWO BUSINESSES THAT WE WILL NEED TO INQURE; ALL HOME DEPOT INFORMATION IS ON THEIR WEBSITE AFTER YOU LOGIN; EMAIL:[email protected], PASSWORD: FITTeam3 (CASE SENSITIVE); LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES

- MHE (forklifts, etc…) WE HAVE NONE

- Loss of items from not having proper storage & cost (ex. Paint that froze in winter) THE ONLY OTHER SIGNIFICANT AND ROUTINE ISSUE IS RETURING SUPPLIES THAT ARE UNECCESSARY; THIS USES MORE OF JASON’S TIME

Possibilities for space (Need to be able to store the most amount of supplies and still be functional):

· Storage racks/bins (COST)

· Walkways/aisles

· Ceiling storage (COST)

· Climate control (identify initial costs, running costs per month)

· JASON IS ALSO CURIOUS ABOUT DESIGN; A SCHEMATIC THAT HE COULD HAND TO A CONTRACTOR TO BUILD

Data points development

· ABC analysis of supplies used

· CBA of supplies to determine best ones to store

· Perishability of items (paint, wood-moisture, etc…)

· Identify which items are best to buy in bulk

· Develop recommendations for stocks of supplies (how much of each)

· Where to store each supplies (layout)

· Cost analysis (identify possible savings by buying in bulk and using warehouse vs. current system)

· Possibility of warehouse management system (inventory control)
