In this final assignment, I am going to use the case of Wal-Mart Inc Company which is one of the leading private retail company globally. The company is considered to have an aggressive organization structure which the company uses to realize its goals. The main problem that is associated with this organization is that it does not offer a good compensation for its employees and also it does not offer a conducive work environment for their workers. There is a need for the organization to come up with effective policies which can help in getting qualified personnel in the market to run for its operations. Management there should have come up with effective ways which can help it have a nice reputation when it comes to meeting the entire needs of the organization.
The main issue that comes with low wage payment is that there is a high likelihood of employees turnovers is due to the fact that they might seek to get greener pastures. Low wage payment is also associated with low employee morale which also has an effect on the performance index of the workers. Companies should strive to ensure that they have proper ways in place to ensure that they are able to run their operations. The company usually incurs high costs due to the fact that it has to train a new sort of employee with regard to the business process as well as have an understanding of the organization environment.
The other thing that the company needs to have a look at is the issue that is related to the work environment. Wal-Mart should be in a position to ensure that they provide their employees with the right work gears so that they can feel much appreciated and also they can be more productive in order to realize the goal of the organization. Therefore, it I much crucial for an organization to ensure that they have a good work environment which is likely to have a positive impact on their performance.
One of the thing that I have been in a place to learn is that the organizational behavior of a given company plays a crucial role towards its success and employee motivation. A poor organization behavior is more likely to cause a high employee turnover while a well-structured organization behavior is more likely to have a direct correlation on the performance index of the employees.
In order to rectify this situation, the company needs to come up with a nice program which they can use in order to compensate their employees. Having a proper compensation plan is essential in ensuring that they are able to acquire highly qualified personnel and also they have made a reduction on costs that are incurred in training their employee's essential operations of the business. The other area that the company should have a look at is the work environment. There is a need for it to provide a conducive work environment which is crucial in ensuring that their that their employee is motivated which has a direct correlation to their level of productivity.
In conclusion, there is a need for organizations to have a look at their organization behavior and identify key areas that might require some level of improvements. This is quite essential in ensuring that the organization meets its strategic goals and they are aligned with the organization mission and vision of the organization.
