Select one of the most important concepts you learned in this course and share how it impacted your worldview and how you plan to apply it in your life and offer any feedback regarding the course that you have.
Also, consider/reflect how you or your organization might sell to the government in the future. Before you finish, take one more moment to review our Mission Statement:
"To provide quality higher education with emphasis on educating the nation's military and public service communities by offering respected, relevant, accessible and affordable, student-focused online programs, which prepare them for service and leadership in a diverse, global society."
Please address the following two questions:
1. How did we as faculty demonstrate that we live that mission statement? 2. How did this course address this mission statement?

One of the most important concepts I learned in this course was the role of logistics in
global supply chain management. Through lectures and assignments, I learned about logistics'
essential role in creating efficient, cost-effective, and reliable transportation and delivery of goods,
materials, and services within and across global supply chains. In particular, I learned about
strategies such as creating hubs to connect different points in supply chains, using predictive
analytics to anticipate customer demand and employing GIS and advanced tracking technologies
to improve supply chain visibility.
In terms of how this concept impacted my worldview and how I will apply it in life, I
recognize logistics as a crucial part of any operational model attempting to become more efficient
and orchestrated. I now understand better how important logistics are to maintain healthy and
functioning supply chains and how they can be scaled to accommodate different examples of scale
and varying levels of complexity. As someone who may be responsible for running operations in
the future, I am confident I can apply this concept to achieve my desired outcomes.
In terms of how this course demonstrated its mission statement to educate the nation’s
military and public service communities, we as faculty did this by providing specific case studies
and applications related to military and public service contexts. For example, we discussed how
certain logistics strategies could be implemented to support military supply chains, improve
emergency response capabilities, and provide adequate and timely transportation of critical
materials and supplies when needed. Also, the course provided numerous resources and
opportunities to connect with current professionals and experts in the supply chain logistics field
to understand the industry and develop viable and appropriate strategies.
This course provided relevant and appropriate information that was both applicable and
valuable to military and public service professionals. Through its course content, the course

Week Eight Discussion Raychelann Petgrave-Winstead posted Mar 15, 2023 11:18 PM Subscribe
Hello Everyone,
There were many new concepts that I learned in the course. In terms of week 7, Far and
types of contracts, I think week 7 would be my favorite. As I mentioned earlier, I am not
regularly involved in contract work, as I haven't done so in the past. As Supply Sergeant our
squadron provides oversight on several contract to ensure contractual compliance. I have
been able to gain a better understanding of the differences between the different types of
government contracts that there are now, and this has helped me to understand there are
several types of government contracts. Particularly the unique approach to the bidding
process and the unique approach to completing all the work that goes into awarding a
contract, as well as all the work that goes into the process of bidding. I have taken on the
challenge of understanding the specific challenges and opportunities associated with each
contract, and I have been able to pass on that information to my peers and subordinates,
enabling them to make informed decisions. After attending this course, I intend to take the
knowledge that I have learned about types of contracts that I have gained through this
course for the purpose of creating a training plan for my soldiers. The importance of my
role as a supply clerk and how it fits into the bigger picture of contract management on the
different types of contracts I manage is something I think is of paramount importance both
for myself and for my soldiers.
In terms of feedback, I can only suggest that maybe two or three exams should be
incorporated into this course. There may not be many people who would choose this
option and exams can often be stressful and nerve-wracking for many people. For me, on
the other hand, taking exams is one of the most worthwhile activities. Taking an exam is a
neutral way for me to verify that I have understood the course material in a way that is not
subjective.
How did we as faculty demonstrate that we live that mission statement?
I consider myself to be an exemplary example of how effective this mission statement is, in
my opinion. It was while I was serving as an active duty member of the Army that I began

my journey at AMU. I have to admit that I made one of the best decisions of my life when I
made this choice. Active duty military personnel adapt very well to the changing lifestyles
that are involved with serving in the military. Despite being deployed, I was able to
maintain my status of an active student throughout the deployment. There is no doubt that
all of the advisors in the office are very helpful and knowledgeable about military tuition
assistance and about G.I. Bill benefits. My current studies are focused on Government
Contracting and Acquisition. I found that AMU was a very impressive school in virtually
every aspect, especially the wide range of degree programs offered and the ability to earn
a degree virtually from anywhere in the world.
How did this course address this mission statement?
Class flow and structure were well executed in this online classroom. It was a pleasure to
be able to access all the necessary resources through the online classroom and I was
impressed by its availability. It was very helpful to have lessons planned out in such a way
that I did not have to guess on assignments, and I could work ahead, if necessary, based on
the lesson plans. I found the course content to be very relevant to my current job as many
of the functions I perform in my current position were related to what was covered in the
class. The course provided me with a challenging academic experience and prepared me to
deal with future assignments that deal with acquisitions and contracts in the future.

Hello everyone,
To be honest, I really liked all the concepts. It provided the knowledge I
needed for my career in the future. In my mind, the concept about week 5
Ethical Standards of Contract Management is my favorite. The reason I chose
this topic is because I think it has a lot of meaning and importance for
current businessman. Like what we know about Ethical standards such as
honesty, integrity, transparency and accountability are crucial in contract
management. When individuals or organizations adhere to ethical standards
in contract management, they are promoting fairness and justice, which can
positively impact their worldview. Ethical behavior in contract management
can promote trust and confidence in business relationships, which can

contribute to a more positive and optimistic view of the business world. In
my life, I have always emphasized business ethics. I want to be someone who
is trusted by everyone. I also want to remind everyone that unethical
behavior in contract management can lead to distrust and skepticism about
the fairness and legitimacy of business dealings. This can negatively impact
one's worldview and lead to a more cynical and pessimistic view of the
world. That is why I love talking about this topic.
1. How did we as faculty demonstrate that we live that mission
statement? In my opinion, I think online learning programs like this
allow soldiers to continue their education. it helps to balance the
knowledge between the general society and the military environment.
The lessons we learn seem to be related to the military environment,
which makes it easier for us to understand and apply in life. I feel that
the decision to go back to school was the correct one. It's not as
difficult as I first thought. The professional are always actively helping
the student when they have any issues or problems.
2. How did this course address this mission statement? This course
provides knowledge related to future careers. it helps students improve
their useful knowledge and can be applied in social. These topics
provided opportunities for students to practice applying their learning
in real world contexts, such as through service-learning projects or
internships with public service organizations. Students are encouraged
to engage with diverse perspectives and cultures through assignments
that require them to research and analyze global issues.

The ethical standards of contract management was one of my favorite parts of class as
they play a crucial role in promoting fairness, transparency, and accountability in business
dealings. It highlights the importance of integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct in all
aspects of contract management, including negotiation, formation, performance, and
termination. This emphasis on ethical behavior has impacted the worldview of many
professionals in the field, including contract managers, procurement officers, and
vendors.By adhering to ethical standards, individuals and organizations can build trust,
establish long-term relationships, and enhance their reputation. In addition, it helps to
ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards, minimizing legal and
financial risks. Unethical standards of contract management can have a significant impact
on one's worldview and can lead to a cynicism and a general distrust of business practices
and the institutions that oversee them.
Unethical behavior can manifest in many ways in contract management. For example, it
could involve bribery, collusion, bid-rigging, or conflicts of interest. Such behavior
undermines the principles of fair competition, transparency, and equal opportunity that are
essential to the integrity of the contract management process.
Regarding the follow on questions in the prompt: The faculty of this institution has
demonstrated its commitment to the mission statement by providing quality higher
education that emphasizes the needs of the military and public service communities. The
focus on online programs that are accessible and affordable also underscores the
institution's commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
This course has addressed the mission statement by providing relevant education in the
field of contract management. The emphasis on ethical standards, compliance, and best
practices has prepared us for service and leadership in diverse and global environments.
The course's focus on practical applications and real-world scenarios has also aligned with
the institution's student-focused approach, providing students with the knowledge and
skills they need to succeed in their careers.
