Cybercriminals are always learning new ways to circumvent current control systems, and therefore information assurance and governance programs must be continuously scrutinized and updated to stay protected from the most recent threat innovations. Real-time security awareness is essential to maintain a robust security posture which will give organizations a fighting chance to protect its most valued data and infrastructure. (Conner, 2018).

Visibility into threats isn’t always accomplished by looking at the present. Instead, it is important to review, analyze, and learn from what did and did not work with current strategies and improve on them. (Conner, 2018).
