The article from Owl Purdue College web site review page was on unity, coherence, topic sentences, and adequate development. A few of those topics I have never heard of which were unity and coherence. After reading the article I know have understanding to two new words and vocabulary. Also Coherence has two other meanings which are Logical Bridges and Verbal Bridges. Logical Bridges are when you continue the same idea from sentence to sentence. Verbal Bridges is key words that can be repeated several times. Synonymous words that can be repeated over several times, and pronouns also. Along with transitional words.

The website I selected for my evaluation essay is from the organization known as the American Psychiatric Association. They are a very trusted organization and their credibility as number one in the world definitely drew me in as I figured it should be bias free. After evaluating the page, I do feel it met the criterions I selected to evaluate it with. Its page sufficiently met the accuracy, objectify, and currency criteria’s. The main thing I look for when it comes to medical research is the credibility and whether the information being provided is backed by credible and updated resources, this page did just that. It also reached its objectivity by delivering a wealth of information on ADHD.

The website I chose for my evaluation essay meets my expectations of a medical website giving information, very thoroughly. The authority, objectivity, and currency of the NIMH website are all apparent and credible. The authority is evident with it being a government website. The objective is to inform parents/people of medical conditions and disorders and how to get help with that, so the objectivity is apparent and straight to the point. The site is update to date with current information and studies all throughout. I don't believe that anyone would disagree if they took the time to also review the website themselves.

Although the tutorial from GCU (GCU Academics, 2015) states that copyright can be used instead of an author, it is most important to find contact information that can lead you to credibility of the source. I believe each combo has a different impression within an essay. Emphasizing the relevance of the type of source helps to validate why you are using that particular source in your writing. Emphasizing the source helps to establish credibility to the authority of your source. Critiquing the source helps to argue and explain a disagreement within your writing.
