The FBI Director, Robert Mueller discloses that Cyber-attack will be the number one threat in the U.S very soon. The director tells the RSA attendees that, the cybercrime becomes the greater risk than terrorism for the country. Muller calls the private sectors who work in the information security area to collaborate with FBI by sharing information and any security concerns to law enforcements and consumers in order to be effective in protecting the country from computer intruders. The FBI has a great experience of how to fight terrorism; now they have to invest all their knowledge and capacity to counter cyber-attack.  The FBI increases the joint task force to defend terrorism after 911.He mentions, the FBI is applying the same technique of defending cyber attackers by establishing state and local law enforcements. According to the director (as cited in Albanesius, 2012), extremists use cyber space for terrorism, so, when we secure our system from intruders we are fighting terrorism at the same time. Nowadays cyber-attack and terrorism go hand in hand. The 2010 Time Square attempted bombing is a good example of how cyber-crime and terrorism are linked (as cited in Albanesius, 2012 ).

I agree with the author’s assertions because, Cyberattack can damage a number of resources at a time unlike terrorism. Besides, Cyber-attack is also a great tool for terrorism like the Time Square example given above. Terrorism is limited location wise, which means the same extremist can attack one place at a time. But, the same hacker can damage as many as computers worldwide using internet. I therefore conclude that, Cyber-attack is a bigger threat than terrorism.
