A minimum of 100 words each and References Response (#1 – 6) KEEP RESPONSE WITH ANSWER EACH ANSWER NEED TO HAVE A SCHOLARY SOURCE with a Hyperlink

1. Your research sounds exciting! Working and experimenting with possible treatments for mental health can be fascinating. However, it is more on the dangerous side of research. Which drugs are you considering? Is your research on drugs that have already been used? Another question, do you think, within the informed consent, there is an option to opt out? How do you handle this type of research with drugs? Can participants willingly quit the study? I would like to know how that works.

2. The American Psychological Association code of ethics are standards that are enforceable to guide ethical decisions in practice and research (APA, 2017). The importance of adhering to these codes when conducting studies is to allow one to stay within boundaries and to protect those who participate from harm. As a psychologist, it is vital to follow these guidelines for the safety and protection of the participants (APA, 2017). The ethical decision I need to make to ensure the safety of the participants is to make sure a consent form is signed before conducting the study. The confidentiality of each participant also needs to be protected. While conducting research on Parental Substance Abuse, the parent and child need to feel safe and secure while engaged in the study. There will be no discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, culture, or sexual orientation while doing research on any of the families.

3. The APA code of ethics is a guideline for research that involves the application of moral principles concerning what the APA considers right and wrong to help guide the researcher’s decisions and behaviors. Ethical principles to follow when conducting research include beneficence, justice, and respect for persons. Participants must be assured confidentiality and given informed consent. Researchers are ethically obligated to do a cost benefit analysis to ensure the positive outcomes exceed the negative risks to participants (Lewandowski, et al. 2015). In my study, confidentiality and informed consent are needed to ensure the safety of the participants. Because of the nature of the study, confidentiality ensures they do not get in trouble with the law. Informed consent is important to let them know the nature of the study and the risks involved.

4. Good elaborate points, my only questions are for the hobbies, is it necessary to state your hobbies? I agree confidence will make things better if not, easy. Besides, do your due diligence, research the position, organization, industry, and interviewers. This will help you answer questions, highlight your knowledge of the organization, and show you're interested in the job (Toastmasters' 10 Job Interview, 2020).

5. I bring confidence and a willingness to be a team player. Pride in my work allows me to put ego aside and do what is best for the team to accomplish a goal. I’m not afraid to fell at a task and I have the patients to follow up the work to make sure our children are getting the time and attention they need to help further their social and emotional development. I’m a leader, but not overly confident, and willing to keep learning to be a valuable part of the team. I come from a background of working hard to accomplish goals and being respectful to my co-workers and peers.

6. Having to tell about myself in an interview is easily the most difficult question for me to answer. According to Hacker and Sommers (2017), presenting yourself well will leave a favorable and lasting impression. They also state that questions such as these are more unstructured and are used by untrained interviewers. Prior to interviewing, I would re-read the description of the position as well as information on the company to be able to assist in my response. My response to this question would be by first mentioning where I am. I would mention that I currently graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. While obtaining my degree, I was working at an auction yard as a title clerk processing title documents to the DMV for insurance purposes. With this position, as well as others, I would explain the skills that I have obtained through prior experience that are tailored to also fitting their position. Additionally, I would explain that I am a hardworking individual who is able to work well with others, that I work well under stressful situations, am great at meeting deadlines, and also great at being able to adapt to changing situations quickly as well as never having issues with attendance. To finish my answer, I would mention my future goals and explain that I am looking for a position that I can make a career and explain how their company would fit into my goals.
