Purpose Statement

The purpose of this quantitative correlation research study is to examine the relationship between strategic investment decision making processes strategies, to increase investment returns, and investment performance. The independent variables are strategic investment decision making processes strategies and increasing  investment returns. The dependent variable is investment performance. Thetargeted population will consist of capital investment leaders located in northeast region of the United Stated. This because population is appropriate for this study because most capital investment companies are located in northeast US region.  

The implication for Social Change

My research study is a significant research tool to mitigate strategic investment decision making processes strategies to increase investment returns in the Northeastern region of the United States. The Positive social change is an essential part of this research study, effective strategic investment decision-making processes strategies for increasing investment returns and investment performance which could lead to the improvement of the social condition of northeasterners through jobs creation and economic growth of the region (Luke & Chu,2013). Based on these prevalent problems in industries and the effect of globalization on industries, it is important to use an effective method to analyze investment before making any investment decision(Jensen &Moheu,2018). Luke and Chu(2013) argued that establishing effective business practice through new innovation, risk management strategies, new decision-making strategies to better evaluate all risk related to the investment, and seeking new ideas to sustain investment industry growth

Information provided discusses septic tanks use baffles to separate the tank and increase retention of solids. Most national codes require a minimum of two compartments. It is common for the first compartment, which is responsible for most of the sludge storage, to be designed to accommodate 2/3rds of the tank volume. While some local governments insist on requiring a minimum of three compartments, there is no statistical evidence that the extra compartment improves overall performance.

The information is useful in gathering information for the research and helping identify cost associated with sewer systems.

The journal explains the different phases of septic systems and the importance of governance in municipalities. The author explains to measure sludge, make a sludge-measuring stick using a long pole with at least 3 feet of white cloth (e.g., an old towel) on the end. Lower the measuring stick into the tank, behind the outlet baffle to avoid scum particles, until it touches the tank bottom. It is best to pump each tank every 2 to 3 years. Annual checking of sludge level is recommended. The sludge level must never be allowed to rise within 6 inches of the bottom of the outlet baffle. In two-compartment tanks, be sure to check both compartments. When a septic tank is pumped, there is no need to deliberately leave any residual solids. Enough will remain after pumping to restart the biologic processes.

The information on this website offered interesting information regarding the treatment practices in sewer systems. Treatment begins in the septic tank. The partially treated wastewater enters the lined plant-rock filter cell through solid piping, where it is distributed across the cell. The plants within the system introduce oxygen into the wastewater through their roots. As the wastewater becomes oxygenated, beneficial microorganisms and fungi thrive on and around the roots, which leads to digestion of organic matter. In addition, large amounts of water are lost through evapotranspiration. The kinds of plants most widely used in these systems include cattails, bulrush, water lilies, many varieties of iris, and nut grass. Winter temperatures have little effect because the roots are doing the work in these systems, and they stay alive during the winter months. Discharge from wetlands systems may require disinfection.
