My professional goals for my career path will lead me back into education as my chosen profession in the future. As I read over the various articles in our lecture material and read chapter one of the textbook again I felt more comfortable with my choice to continue my education. I look forward to becoming scholarly by the end of my masters degree. I have already had to adapt my schedule in more ways than I anticipated, but it is important to look at your time management and figure it out.  Right now I am sitting at my sister’s dining room table next to a high chair.  My sister and her husband teach at our local college and they have 4 children.  School has started at the college but not at our local public school until next week. So I have gotten up earlier to do my bible study and running so I can be at their home by 7 a.m.  While my nieces and nephews sleep I will work on my class homework.

I previously contacted several people in my college network inquiring about getting my masters prior to this class. This has already led to me getting hired to teach Intermediate Algebra starting Monday night.

I look forward to teaching again at our college, an area high school, or one of our vocational schools.

When we decided to sell our business after prayer I came to the conclusion teaching was an area I loved. I am a very motivated person, I have picked myself up many times and kept going.  You cannot make excuses just figure out a way to get it done.  Being chronic asthmatic I decided to run after my baby sister was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I could not run across the street and now I have ran 2 full marathons.  I found out I had 26 food allergies, I quit eating those foods, I feel better.  I broke my pelvis less than a year ago and wasn’t sure if I would ever run again, but I am.  I set my goals and I keep going for them with the grace of God. I am thankful for the gift of perseverance I know I will always have to work hard to accomplish things, nothing comes easy. I could not do any of it without my faith.
