Drawbacks of A Charismatic Leader
Lack of Successors and Visionaries
Lack of Clarity
Addictive quality
A charismatic leader often retains the majority of the control of the members of the group because he or she has faith in themselves. A charismatic leader will find it difficult to hand over control to another person because he or she does not trust that the other person will handle duties the same or because the leader enjoys being at the top and having control over everything and everyone. For the people who follow a charismatic leader, the can develop an unhealthy dependence on him or her due to the image the leader portrays, many followers will view the leader as a saviour of everything.

Reflections
Charismatic leader
it gives people the chance to think differently
it creates a shred identity
Charismatic leaders are visionaries. They have a big dream and work toward making it happen. They look beyond the big picture to see what others are unable to see beyond the horizon. Then they imagine different ways to create a successful result. These leaders are also excellent communicators. But with all these qualities there are some disadvantages of a charismatic leader. When a charismatic leader shares their vision, it gives people a chance to think differently about a specific subject. In some instances, they can even begin to think of bigger plans or dreams that are achievable. When people share an identity as a group, it can turn the impossible into something that is possible to achieve. This can create a push toward large changes being made in a short time period.

Transformational leader
Definition
Characteristics
Walt Disney
Transformational leadership is a theory whereby positive changes are notable in the followers as they look out for the best interests of not only the individual followers but also of the group in its entirety. Such leaders try to effect change by appealing to the values and ambition of the followers. Walt Disney is an excellent example of transformational leadership. His dreams, ambition and vision became reality as he charismatically motivated individuals to believe and see his dreams come to fruition.

Qualities of A Transformational Leader
Vision
Communication skills
Self-motivation
Inspiration
Leaders need to fuel their passion from within. Transformational leaders have passion and motivation that people can sense and feed off of it. Walt Disney’s vision became reality because he exhibited all of the above qualities of a transformational leader.

Drawbacks of A Transformational Leader
Influence Can Backfire
Favouritism
Success depends on the team
If the transformational leader is a risk-taker, he or she can make decisions that are not well thought and processed and can result to something negative, chances are, the subordinates will be the ones to be put in line. Transformational leaders are drawn to spend more time with those who buy into the big vision. This means that they are happy to mentor and coach those who are working toward the bigger goal(Faris, 2018). For the rest of the team who do not see the leaders big picture, they are left behind uncoached. Different approaches work for different companies, not one same approach will work for all companies. If a leader finds that gathering the entire team in one place to discuss making big changes leads to a lack of participation or constant conflict, this style likely is not the right fit.

Transformational Leader in an Organization
Detrimental to an organization and society
Blessing or a curse
The transformational leader offers transformation, not only to the organization, but also to the individuals who will affect the change. This change can be a blessing to the company as well as the society or harmful. A transformational leader who has not thought through the decision he or she is making may pose risks to both the employees of a company as well as the company. on the other hand, a transformational leader who has seen the need for change in a certain area and thought about the significance the change could bring to the company, will have the company thriving. Both leaders have a vision for the company, but the later has pondered on the implications as well as importance of the vision.
