There can be a lot of incentives that push others to want to be better and do better where security is concerned. From a vendors point of view, this can be in the form of earning rewards and have a tier program such as a credit program that gives one security points when they engage in best practices that can be monitored and scored, example, having a strong password and always updating to strong passwords. We should always strive to make people want to be secure: Motivate them with simple things like recognition, appreciation or small gifts when you see good practices in action. (Hayden, 2017).
Another important incentive surveys, to make customer and employees feel that their voice matters, that they have a say in how the procedure is managed and engaged. This gives them a form of importance while also educating them on important security procedures through the survey. Another important incentive would be fun engaging meetings at work which gets employees involved. Connectedness at work involves the extent to which employees trust, feel close to, and want to interact with coworkers. For example, practices involving team building and job rotation can boost employees' sense of interpersonal connectedness. (Moor, 2017).
