I think that communicating technical findings to non-technical colleagues can be one of the biggest challenges that IT staff can face.  Typically it is not a strong suit for most IT professionals.  One thing is to not assume anything and possibly conduct a survey of attendees before the meeting to determine skill level.  You can also provide terminology or a cheat sheet for the terms that you will discuss frequently.  Another suggestion is to be realistic about how much you can cover in the presentation.  If you cover too much you run the risk of overloading the audience (Quick Base, 2018).  It is also important to do research on the audience, to better understand their day to day activities and how the technology will help them.  When presenting it is good to level the playing field by letting the audience know that you have respect for what they do and the expertise they have.  Before you give the presentation it will also be helpful to practice with someone who has the same level of expertise as you audience will have.  Ask the person for feedback on how to improve the presentation.
