VMock Resume Submission

Instructions

As an extension to the Career Plan, all students must submit their resumes to VMock. See the  V-Mock SMART Resume & SMART Editor User's GuideLinks to an external site. to get started. 

· Start Early:

· Begin this assignment as early as possible, no later than  Week 7 of the course, to ensure you have ample time to improve your VMock score.

· Prepare Your Resume:

· Use the provided Resume Template to create or update your resume. This template is designed to help you achieve a successful VMock score.

· Upload Your Resume to VMock:

· Log in to your VMock account.

· Upload your resume to the platform for an initial review.

· Note that The VMock score not only reflects the overall quality of your resume but  also indicates how well your resume is tailored to specific job roles. To achieve a higher score, ensure that your resume is customized to match the requirements and keywords of the job description you are targeting. 

· Analyze Your VMock Score: If Match Score is 86 Submit documents to assignment link 

· Review the score displayed on the bell curve and in the Student Dashboard and Identify the zone where your resume falls:

· Green Zone (86–100): Excellent job! Continue to refine your resume, aiming for an improvement of at least 5 points before submitting to employers. 

· Yellow Zone (33–85): Your resume is on the right track but needs improvement. Align it more closely with relevant job descriptions and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.

· Red Zone: Significant improvements are needed. Pay close attention to feedback and make substantial revisions.

· If Your Match Score is below 86 Review and Implement Feedback:

· Examine the detailed feedback provided by VMock, noting strengths highlighted in green and areas for improvement in orange and red.

· Revise your resume according to the feedback.

· Resubmit for Evaluation:

· After making revisions, re-upload your updated resume to VMock.

· Continue to edit and resubmit your resume until you achieve a score of 86 or above. You are allowed up to 10 resume uploads per academic year. If you exceed this limit, contact VMock Customer Support at [email protected] to request a reset.

· Submit Your Assignment:

· Submit your initial resume, final revised resume, and the highest VMock score you achieved by the due date.

1. Final Revised Resume: The updated version of your resume after incorporating VMock’s feedback. 

2. VMock Score Summary: A document or screenshot of your highest VMock score achieved, along with a brief summary of the feedback received.
