Due to the fact that my company will engage in fruit selling, I will therefore face competition from similar companies in the country. For the purposes of ensuring that the market share of my business is increased, I will ensure that the customers are provided with quality fruits. Again, I will ensure that the prices of the products are revised frequently therefore ensuring that the cases of the exploitation of the customers are reduced. (Allison, 2019)
Some of the competing companies in the market will include; Chiquita Brands International, Cadiz Inc. and Amazon.com, Inc. These companies have been in the fruit selling business for a long time and hence the right measures should be put in place for my business to be successful in the market. As far as Chiquita Brands International is concerned, its mission and vision statements are; “to ensure that the company’s products and services win the hearts and the smiles of the world’s consumers by helping them enjoy healthy fresh food”. Again, the vision statement of the company is “To be world’s perfect food producer”.
Again, the mission statement of Cadiz Inc. is “we are committed to provide our customers, clean and potable food and to undertake continuing protection of food supply in a sustainable, economical, efficient and responsible manner for the future generations”. Moreover, the vision statement of the company is “To be the best and most efficient food utility for healthy and happy family”. The mission statement of Amazon.com, Inc is “we strive to offer our customers the lowest possible prices, the best available selection, and the utmost convenience”. (John, 2019) Moreover, the vision statement for the company is “to be earth’s most customer- centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online”. As far as the mission and the vision statements of the companies are concerned, they are well written and hence able to ensure that the welfares of the customers are safeguarded. Again, the mission statement of my company is “the company is up to ensuring that quality fruits are provided to the customers”. Moreover, the vision statement of my company is “to be the largest fruits supply in the entire world”. However, my mission and the vision statement will ensure that the customers are protected from exploitation unlike those of the other companies. Unlike the other companies, my company will ensure that the fruits are delivered from door to door therefore facilitating the quick delivery of services to the people. (Yadav, 2019)
