School boards determine the policies and procedures, administrators execute and enforce those policies and procedures, and it’s a teacher’s responsibility to interpret and apply the policies and procedures to their decision-making and teaching practice. The purpose of the research and synopsis in this assignment is to ensure that you become more familiar with the school district policy manual you selected in Week 1 and can locate the information you need for the Wk 3 Summative Assessment: Legal and Ethical Responsibility Statement.

      Research the school district policy manual you selected in your Wk 1: School District Policy Manual assignment for staff/personnel and student policies related to:

      • An educator’s ethical and legal responsibilities
      • Use of technology, social media, and/or electronic devices
      • Protection of intellectual property rights
      • Information about being culturally aware, supporting diversity, and/or fostering equity

      Write a minimum 175-word synopsis of your research in which you:

      • Identify the name of your selected school district and a link to their policy manual.
