1. RYAN: Mr. Rogers, I looked at your medical record. Unfortunately, Dr. Deane did not write an order for you to go home today. His note says that you expressed an interest in going home. NIKKI: See, I told you, you weren’t going home today, Joe. How could you? You almost fell again when you got up from the chair just a few minutes ago. JOE: I do want to go home, and that isn’t what he told me. He told me I could go home today. NIKKI: Joe, Ryan just said that the doctor doesn’t want you to go home. RYAN: I understand that Dr. Deane is going to come up later to re-evaluate you. JOE: That isn’t what he told me. Could you call him and ask?

2. RYAN: Mr. Rogers, looks like you’re catching up on the news. I brought you a fresh container of ice water and a cup of coffee. Do you feel like getting cleaned up for the day before breakfast? JOE: Yeah, probably. Gosh, the room is spinning. Let go of me, and get out of my way. I'm not an old man. I can do this myself. NIKKI: No, I don’t think you can do this yourself. You need help. You are just feeling sorry for yourself, and I don’t like your behavior. I am going to step out while you get to the bathroom.

3. RYAN: Mr. Rogers, your breakfast is here. Do you want me to move your table over your lap? JOE: Yes, and I want the head of my bed raised up, too. JOE: Gah ... This isn't what I ordered. NIKKI: You're right, that isn’t what you ordered.

4. NIKKI: Good afternoon, honey. I thought you might like some magazines. JOE: Should’ve saved your money. NIKKI: It's just a couple of magazines. I worry that you’re getting bored here. JOE: Well, you won’t have to worry about that much longer. Dr. Deane said I'm going home today. NIKKI: Going home? Joe, you can't even stand up on your own without feeling dizzy. I can’t believe they would send you home with the risk of falling. And did they even get the results of your MRI yet? I thought we were waiting on those. JOE: Nah, they don't need them. Just ask my student nurse, Ryan. NIKKI: Ryan, is this true? Would they really send him home without his MRI results? When I was here earlier, he was still so unsteady. What do you think? Is he really ready to go home?
