Instructor’s Comments

MSWI: Hi, how are you?

Ct: Good thanks, and you?

MSWI: I am doing great. Thank you.

MSWI: How you been?

Ct: Good

MSWI: How you been? How are you sleeping and eating?

Ct: I been good, eating and sleeping well.

MSWI: I’m glad that you are doing well.

MSWI: How do you feel with everything that’s is going on? What are your thoughts about it?

Ct: I’m ok, and what is happening?

MSWI: Well many businesses are closed, non-essential workers for the most part are at home in quarantine and your experiences with the distance learning.

Ct: With the situation that is currently going on I feel ok, at the beginning I was a bit nervous because of my family in Honduras but now I feel ok. With my classes at the beginning I thought it was too much but now I can handle it.

MSWI: I’m glad you are feeling better about all that is happening, we need to take day by day and follow all the precautions and stay home. If at any point you feel nervous or anxious you can always contact me, remember I’m here to help you not to judge. Also, you can practice relaxation techniques that we been discussion during our session that can help you calm down.

Something else to consider is that you may experience anxiety with eating because of the lack of activity and due to being home all day, try to differentiate that anxiety with hunger. You can do this by considering when and what was the last thing you ate and acknowledge if it’s time to eat again.

Ct: Thanks Ms. Wanda for your support, and yes sometimes I get hungry right after eating something and what I been doing is to eat as healthier as possible and drink a lot of water. If at any point I feel that I need to contact, you I will.

MSWI: I’m glad to hear that and I’m always here to help you.

Minor continues to engage during sessions and its able to express her feelings.

I felt very good with our session, minor is always able to express and ask for help if needed.

I perceive that the minor was calm during our session.

Impressions: Minor is very extrovert and it’s not ashamed to express any concerns or wishes.

Assessment/Analysis of the Session:

I didn’t find no challenges in this session, everything went well. I was able to make a good connection with the minor

Next steps: For our next encounter I will follow up with school adjustment. I will inform minor of assessments that I will be conducting in two weeks.

Questions for field instructor:

1. Before conducting PTSD and PHQ9 Assessments I will like to give minor and insight of why and for what we are doing them. Is this ok?
