Introduction

When any organization and company is undergoing any transformation, there are so many aspects that have to be changed from how they were doing things so that the change can be useful. Any change in an n organization can happen due to shifting from the strategies that the company was using as it was using initially. In case any organization to have changed, people and other workers must be aware that a change is happening so that they can be ready to embrace it because, in man organizations, many employees resist change. After all, they see change as something which will come and displace them, and others see that as a waste of time and resources as they are going to learn more so that they can be in a position to implement change in a very effective way, (Dictionary, 2019). I will focus on organizational change that has been implemented by Ventre medical which specializes in mental health.

Adoption of New Technology Systems

In any health facility there are health records that keeps how those people that have mental issues are progressing. This is a systematized collection of all health information and in a digital form, (Adams, Ponte, & Somerville, 2016, p. 127). Health and record system provides records and these records are important to the health care facility and this is a benefit which cannot be underestimated. When health records have been recorded well it helps the hospital to store data in a very accurate way and this is important in making sure that it can be easy to follow how the patient is progressing well. When there are electronic health records on Venter Care it will be very easy to access the data on the internet because one has just to search for whatever that he wanted to obtain from the record. This is a better way than having to search it manually incase records have been placed on the files. It takes so much of the time when health care practitioner is looking for that file. The other important aspect of having electronic health records for mental ill people is because here will be no struggling when one is trying to read because in most instances some people have very different handwritings which makes some not to read even the right thing and this in most cases it has brought a lot of issues when they are trying to assess the progress of the patient. This in most cases, makes the patient not to be given attention and medication which they were supposed to get as a result of this. Therefore electronic health records curbs this issue, (Lee & Kelly, 2011).

Adoption of advanced electronic health records according to Rogers (2003) does not happen only once but it is a process whereby Ventre medical Centre should be ready to follow. With this people will be more willing to have the change done in the health facility. The uptake of adoption of new technology in the Ventre medicine will be influenced by five factors on whether they will be in a position to adopt it or they will not. This will be dealing with determination of the attitudes which the nurses will be having towards adoption of that new technology. Explanation of how adoption of new technology will help improve on the current situation which health sector is already in will make them to adopt the change, (Lee, et al, 2017).

This will be through education on how improved technology will be working, the coordination and any other important aspect that they will be willing to know in regard to new technology. The other thing about advanced health record system for keeping mental patient record that they are supposed to know is how the process will be compatible with what the health sector is doing currently such that there will be no much changes that will be required to be done so that adoption of the technology will be possible. When technology will be more compatible to use just like how they were doing things in most cases they are likely to embrace the change. Complexity of the technology and triability are other characteristics that they will be keen to understand. Complexity means how hard and technical is its going to be when they will start up taking of the technology. Triability means prior to adopting the technology s to know whether they will be in a position to try it’s and know basically how it works before they will start adopting and using it as a technological advancement in the facility, (Burnes, 2018)

.

Steps for obtaining organizational change and challenges that are likely to be faced

However in case there is any technology that the medical Centre wants to improve in the health records it may become a challenge when they will not engage all those who are involved from the onset of the project. This is because nurses should be the change agent in ventre medical and it is important that they are supposed to have assessment of the extent of change so that they can be sure what will be their roles in making sure that all other practitioners have been convinced to undertake the change. The reason as to why implementation of any change in health sector in most of the time becomes a problem is because those who are at the top in most cases they just want to use top down approach without educating those who are at grass root levels and this is posting a lot of challenges in the organization. To curb the above problem it is important that there should be education and awareness creation so that they will not resist that change. With the education they will be in a position to know what exactly is supposed to be done and when they will know that they will see the importance of engaging in the change and they will be carrying it out even without the consent of those at a higher management level. What they just need is education and basics about what is going to happen and at the same time being in a position to know why they are implementing change in the organization. This is through getting all the advantages that may accrue when change will be implemented in Ventre medical care, (Kaminski, 2019).

The other challenge that the organization ids likely to face a challenge when they want to adopt a new technology when they want to improve electronic health records is resistance this is because in most cases, these people have not been coached or mentored on how the change will be running. When there will be resistance the health care people will be told that they are supposed to do this, then when one goes and assesses what was being done, it is met that what is being done is a very total different thing from what was being expected. Mentoring and coaching them can help them to soften their hearts so that they can see an advantage that may come from implementing that change. They will see the opportunity that may present them in order to achieve great results in the organization. Much information should be provided as possible and also there should be benchmarking on other organizations and facilities which have already adopted that technology. With they will see the practicality of it and then some will see that it is not a technology that will make them lose their jobs because this is one of the reasons as to why many people usually resist any change that is being implemented in the organization. When they will see a place where the technology has worked they will as well be motivated to work on it so that it can work just as it has worked in the other facility and in the long run it will be important in making sure that the work will be easier than it was when they were using manual health records and in most cases those patient with mental health were not being taken care of in a meaningful way because tracing of the progress of the patient was somehow hard when they were using physical means, (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2018).

Recommendations for organizational change

Before any company starts implementing organizational change for instance adoption of new technology, it is important that all those who are involved should be aware of the technology that the company is willing to undertake. This will make them to own the project and when it will reach the time for implementing of the change it will be very easy for the management tyo work with those key medical practitioners who will be on the ground to make sure that technology is implemented and it is working to achieve the purpose as to why it was implemented. Creation of awareness, education and fully participation of everyone will make implementation of new technology in Ventre Medical care to be very easy, (Adams, et al, 2016).

Conclusion

Change, especially in today's world, is a compassionate part of the organization to ensure that change has been implemented. This is because even though there will be a lot of training and use of resources but this, in the long run, will be helpful in making sure that the company has achieved its goals. Change is inevitable. It is supposed to be a bottom-up approach whereby all the workers are supposed to be aware of what is happening so that they can embrace the change and make sure that they are doing anything to make sure that change has been implemented.
