4) Are preliminary results and recommendations based on the analysis presented? Recommendations justified?
VA Hospital
1) Was the project context clearly described and illustrated?
Yes, there was a great explination of their problem context. They are working with the blood labs inventory system that experiances challenges during increased demand and spends high hours on inventory tracking instead of treating patients. This is signigfcant because this process needs to occur befor doctors can diagnose and treat patents. This current system currently flows under an order to order inventory managament system.
2) Are the objectives of the project and associated performance measures well define?
Yes, they are looking to reduce the labor hours by at least 30% and create an interactive dashboard to track inventory. A next step for this group would be to identify using data if 30% reduction is possible and if so how does this relate to a metric seen throught the hospital like dollars or in patient time.
3) Is a quantitative IE analysis being conducted? Has the appropriate data been collected?
This group has collected their data and has set plans of how they aim to analize the data but the data has not yet been analized. The data colected at this time seems to be a good fit for the the analysis techniques that they plan to use. Their plan to analize the dat is to use EOQ calculations and forcasting as well as a kanban approch. This group has a solid start and a great plan moving forward for analisis.
4) Are preliminary results and recommendations based on analysis presented?
5) Was the project schedule status provided? What needs to be done to ensure successful project completion?
Like many of the groups this group is seeing issues in contacting their company due to the on going coronavirus situation. But they have a great plan set with solid and acheveable dates to help overcome this obstical and stay on track.
