Duties
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Clinical Officer, Saint Elizabeths
Hospital
(S E H), Department of Behavioral Health (DMH).
The mission of Saint Elizabeths Hospital is to provide high quality, integrated mental
health services to persons with mental disorders who require psychiatric hospitalization
and to facilitate their continuing recovery and return to the community. Saint Elizabeths
Hospital trains students, health and mental health clinicians, and professionals who work
with mental health consumers to provide compassionate and care consistent with best
practices.
The incumbent of this position serves as a Supervisory Clinical Administrator exercising
responsibility for managing, directing, supervising, and overseeing day-to-day clinical
operations of the Clinical Administrators and their subordinate responsibilities and
functions within the Hospital. The incumbent of this position manages S E H clinical
operations through subordinate Clinical Administrators and oversees tasks that support
the goal of establishing a cohesive and coordinated system of appropriate, quality mental
health services and supports for consumers. The incumbent initiates, manages, and
administers an array of infrastructure and service delivery improvement activities to help
build effective mental health and related services. Support new, expanded planning and
development to promote the development of systems explicitly designed to meet the
needs of S E H and consumers. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing transfers
between units to accommodate census management and appropriate clinical concerns.
Provides leadership in planning and directing activities of daily clinical activities
managed by the Clinical Administrator staff. Serves as a principal advisor to Chief
Clinical Officer and senior S E H program officials.
Duration of Appointment: “AT WILL” EMPLOYMENT APPLIES TO THE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISORY SERVICE (MSS). ALL POSITIONS AND APPOINTMENTS IN THE MSS SERVE “AT THE PLEASURE OF THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY” AND MAY BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT CAUSE.

Tour of Duty: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
Salary Range: $99,659.00 - $139,522.00 per annum

Qualification: Applicant must have completed a full (4) year course of study in an accredited college or
university leading to a bachelors or higher degree with major study in an academic field relating to the health or allied science pertinent to the position.
Work Experience: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, this position requires one (1) year
specialized experience at the next lower grade level equivalent to DS13.
