The song which I chose was “Hozier-Sedative” . The main theme of the song is about drugs and we can see how the author tells us a story about a person who is addicted. He first is enjoying himself, but then slowly with time he realizes all the downsides of him doing drugs. He knows that he needs to quit but it is really hard and almost impossible. At the end of the song the main character meets someone and asks for help, but on the contrary his supposed-to-be savoir decides to join him. "So we're slaves to any semblance of touch, Lord we should quit but we love it too much” We can see here how main character is referring to himself as a slave which is taken from an ancient time, because now slavery is forbidden. “Adding shadows to the walls of the cave” is a sentence of the song which indicates again to the past time of how ancient people were drawing signs on the walls of the cave.
