Look back on your California food, wine and cultural journey throughout this semester. Choose

two (2) California stories from the content presented this semester (from the books, videos,

articles, movies, your experiential visits....) – a food story or a wine story.

1. Offer a short explanation of why you chose those two stories.

2. Explain how (in what way) is California is a main character in the each of those stories. What

role did/does it play? How does California affect the lives of the character(s) of your chosen

stories?

3. Offer an opinion – do you think the same story could have occurred in some other geographic

location? Why(not)? Please be detailed in your argument, reasoning and logic.

4. Do you think the California of today can still play the same role as it did in the stories you

chose?

a. If so, what makes you think that that aspect of California has not changed?

b. If not, what about California would have to change so that it would have the same influence as it did back then?

I’m looking for genuine, thoughtful answers – and you’ll have 8 (minimum) - 10 minutes of

video time to provide those answers. Please make sure you speak clearly, and that all the

questions listed above are addressed.
