INDUSTRY CHOSEN: MAKEUP INDUSTRY TWO COMPANY: SEPHORA & ULTA

Goal: Develop analysis skills, encourage preparation and critical thinking, and provide opportunities to share your thoughts and opinions on ethical issues.

PART I:

You will select a focus industry for your project. Within that industry, you will identify at least 2 firms—each practicing a (relatively) different model of corporate responsibility as listed in the text’s Figure 5.2. For each of the companies, your complete paper should cover, at a minimum, the following:

● Brief background of each company ● Brief description of each company’s culture (use concepts from Chapter 4) ● CSR Model used by each company (corporate social responsibility) ● Benefits to each company and benefits to the community

Other requirements:

● Identify articles and/or corporate info on the CSR (Corporate social responsibility) initiatives. Include the list of sources in a bibliography at the end of the paper

● Synthesis of class concepts – your paper should utilize some of the models and frameworks we have discussed in class. You can also present ways in which your cases are
