requirements

Shorten the Univsion press release to no 400 words or fewer, including the About sections. Everything can be edited, which includes deleting.

Shorten the headline to 70 characters or fewer, including spaces.

Add a secondary headline if needed; it counts toward the 400-word limit.

Include contacts; they do not count toward word total.

3

BEFORE YOU WRITE…

Complete the readings on press releases. Understand the format and style. Read the Forbes articles about how to write a press release and the 14 elements needed.

Identify the audience or audiences for the release. Which people and organizations does the client want to inform? Which ones does it want to attract or influence?
