I believe presenting myself as a leader through my first impression is the most important strategy to follow as I interview for my first position as a school executive. It is imperative to dress professionally for interviews. It is imperative to connect with everyone on the interview panel. It is important to look at the person who asked the question when answering the questions as well as the other members of the panel. It is equally important to close the question by looking back at the person who asked the question. I learned to make continuous eye contact with all members of the panel. I learned to be passionate when answering questions because this is my first and only impression on the interviewers.
I feel presenting myself as a leader through my resume and in-person will set a good first impression of interviews. I chose this strategy because of my shyness. I know I will be nervous on my first interview. However, I still need to shine as the best candidate for the job through my first impression based on the interviewing process.
I will use all of the strategies presented in the video to prepare for my first administration job.
