Healthcare system is one of the sensitive areas in the world, most of the nations are trying their level best to ensure that they incorporate the best healthcare system so that the citizens can be assured of access to quality healthcare services at all times. In this case, the American system is a digital system that has been transformed into a private sector. However, there are numerous challenges that are facing the current system in America. The differences arise in terms of quality delivered and the amount used in the provision of medication in America.

The digital privatization of the healthcare system has contributed highly towards high expenditures being experienced by the American population. As this has meant that fraud cases arise between the medical sector and the private insurance firms through billing and coding wrong amounts in order for the patients to incur costs that they had actually not been treated (Squires & Anderson, 2015).

Therefore, this calls for the American leaders to change on how the healthcare system is being exercised in the nation so as to improve the quality of service delivery and reduce the costs that Americans incur on medications. This can be effectively being done when the federal government takes up the role of the provision of medical cover to all the Americans. This will ensure that there is equality in service delivery and the private insurance firms will have no obligation but to follow the set rules or else they get deregistered for not extorting money from the American civilians.

The issues of racial and gender discrimination in the medical sector have also been reported in various cases in America. For instance, the African-American population have always faced difficulties when seeking medical attention in the nation, this is because they are less likely to be recommended for a proper medical procedure when compared to the whites, this means that the sector is still marred with racial segregation issues that have to be taken care of for quality and equality in medical provision in the nation (Squires & Anderson, 2015).

Besides that, the similar case also occurs for the gender cases whereby the males are favored over the females in terms of service delivery. This further points out the nation’s healthcare system does not practice the recommended equality and therefore some changes have to be initiated for high efficiency in service delivery to be realized.

Therefore, comparing the medical care system in America and those in other countries there are huge disparities identified. For instance, most of the developed nations in Europe such as France, Germany, Canada use universal health care system which means that the government takes the cover of all the medical expenditures of their citizens. This system has been determined to be very effective as despite being less costly as compared to the American system, these nations still provide quality medical services that meet the needs and demands of their people (de Andrade et al, 2015).

However, the differences come in on how different countries handle their insurance industries. For instance, there is a single-payer system. In this system there is only one organization that purchases all the healthcare facilities and equipment, this system is believed to be more economical and the insurance companies can be either private based as for the case of Canada or be governmental based as for the case of United Kingdom.

The second system practiced by other countries is the multi-tiered system. In this case, the health care system is controlled by both the private and government. This system can be said to be somehow practiced in America and Canada, however, there are differences in the way the system operates. For instance, in America, those who don’t qualify for the Medicare must find their own ways of clearing their medical bills while some can seek private insurance companies to pay for them. For the case of Canada, all individuals are given medical cover since birth but there are those that seek private insurance companies as an added advantage for quality and better service provision, which accounts for approximately 30% of the population.

There are also some programs such as those used in Germany whereby the programs are funded by the employers and employees who have to pay for a sickness fund. It’s from these sickness funds that pay for the medical services whenever one is sick. The funds in this nation are either managed by the government or the non-profit organizations in the country (Squires & Anderson, 2015).

Then there is the “out of the pocket system” this is mostly practiced by those that do not have the medical insurance systems. This means that they have to personally take care of their medications through direct payment. There are some of the Americans that are still using this system those that do not have either the government insurance cover or cover by the private insurance companies. However, this healthcare system is so expensive especially for the Americans and better ways should be considered in order to have a better and effective system that can ensure Americans get better services at a convenient price.

The universal healthcare system is a better and effective system for the majority of the American population. This is due to the fact that the system will ensure everyone gets better medical attention by being covered by the government (Aton et al, 2015). However, there are those individuals that are adamantly against the idea, they have to consider all the important factors such as the ability to provide quality medical services to all individuals irrespective of their income, race, and gender which can only be possible through implementation of this technique.

In summary, the quality of medical service provided and under reasonable prices in the nation depends on the healthcare system that the nation has adopted. Therefore, it’s important that the nation adopts the most suitable method of service provision in order for its people to get better and quality services in their medical facilities.
