One of the most divisive problems in modern culture is transgender rights. Transgender
people have a gender identity or sexual expression that differs from their biological sex.
Homosexuals, lesbians, and bisexuals are all included. The vast majority of individuals believe
they have the right to be heard and listened to by these persons, while others criticize their very
presence in society (Taylor et al., 2018). However, in today's culture, the growing number of these
groups has ignited a frenzy of exciting discussions on whether these people, like other groups in
society, should be accorded their rights. There are various reasons why I am concerned about and
support the concept that this demographic group is given rights. They continue to confront
housing, job, fair housing, education, and healthcare discrimination and violence, which does not
represent preferential treatment for members of society (Lutrell, 2016). The majority of advocates
for transgender rights believe that they were "born this way," meaning that gender identity is
fundamental, unchanging, and unlike choice.
Educating others about gender identity as a word of self-consciousness to lessen the degree
of prejudice they confront is one of the efforts I and others have done in support of transgender
rights. In other words, acceptance and acknowledgment of the freedom to choose and self-
determination are some of the fundamental pillars of the equality agenda. Individuals' self- and
dignity-related rights are intrinsically tied to the gender to which they belong and are connected. In
addition to this campaign for anti-discrimination against transgender individuals (Taylor et al.,
2018). This helps to create a pleasant learning environment at school and elsewhere. Increased
demand for benefit measures, schemes, education programs, social security, healthcare, and
effective participation in society, as well as easier access to these schemes and welfare measures by
competent authorities. This is an important stage in ensuring that most people do not have a sexual
orientation and that the community accepts all individuals.

Regardless of my inclinations and ideas, I am opposed to any types of prejudice against
human beings. As a result, I feel that in a prejudice-free society, I am fair and kind to everyone.
Gender identification, as indicated in my first and second paragraphs, should be left to the
individual understanding. As a result, discriminating against transgender people just because they
have a different gender identification orientation is inappropriate (Taylor et al., 2018). In terms of
my cognitive dissonance within this specific group, I feel that my beliefs and attitude are well-
suited to fostering a free and equitable environment for all individuals, including transgender
people. As a consequence, my values and character fit with my first two statements in support of
the transgender rights problem in our modern culture.
Several cultures and civilizations have changed their views on gender classification. One
major example is the Indian Supreme Court's decision that transgender people constitute third sex
under the constitution, and that recent legislation has dramatically enhanced transgender
recognition and rights (Lutrell, 2016). It has resulted in more regulation and acknowledgment of
their constitutional rights, as well as a culture devoid of discrimination toward these people. As a
result, attitudes about such groups of individuals have altered substantially through time, and the
world has progressively though embraced this group of individuals.
Experiencing cognitive dissonance about a contentious subject, such as this one, can
exacerbate the societal concerns that are inextricably tied to it. This is because people have diverse
ideas and, in many situations, are resistant to changes that demand a shift in thinking away from
certain societal beliefs and understandings (Lutrell, 2016). As a result, the contentious subject will
be politicized by various individuals and groups, some of whom will do so to make others
uncomfortable. As a result of this process, anyone touched by such an issue will face unjust
treatment and societal pressure.
