As such, the executives are focused on deploying strategies that warrant their competencies in the industry. The global networking company has continued to develop innovative products to its clients. The business is managed in three specific units i.e. retail, commercial, and service. Various organizational changes have enabled the company to focus better on product and service delivery to its clients. The principal executives are located in San Jose, California. The company generated revenues of $1.27 billion, $1.18 billion, and $902.1 million, in 2012, 2011 and 2010 respectively. The financial statements provide a forward-looking into financial positions and business strategy of the company.
What do the strategy, mission, and organizational structure say about the company?
As a global networking company, the company connects the world to the internet. The goal of being a leading provider ascertains the mission of being an innovative leader. Nevertheless, they put into consideration a number of factors that drive today’s demand for networking products. The use of computing devices has increased over the years especially the WIFI network. The company ensures that they are well versed on trends of shared information for advanced communication capabilities. The company's focus on small and medium enterprises is the ultimate move for its effectiveness and success. Nevertheless, the creative skills available in the organization helps spearhead its technical capabilities (Brochet et al., 2015).
What are the positive aspects of the strategy, mission, and organizational structure?
Through proprietary rights, the organization has been able to maximize on customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, customer support has been crucial for the success of the organization. The company listens to the needs of the clients. They ensure that they respond to any questions thrown their way regarding the services and products they offer and how best they can design them for their desired markets. The historical experience is a meaningful indication of consistency. The continued customer interaction has been largely due to dependency on the technologies offered by the company.
What are the company’s short-term and long-term goals?
In 2016, the company's short-term goal was directed towards equity incentive plan. The plan was to increase available shares to help achieve the goal of attracting, motivating, and retaining its employees. However, the company’s long-term focus is combating cases of cyber threat on their system. Cybersecurity is principal for technology companies (Such et al., 2015). The organization’s directors formed a cybersecurity committee in 2017.
What are ways to improve the strategy, mission, and organizational structure?
The company should focus on diversifying its markets to expand to other nations. This will increase its revenues as well as its operational base. Moreover, the company could work with subsidiary companies to offer their services and products in other nations. Designing a competitive strategy during the course of expansion will help the organization be on the know for what the consumers require of them and beat the competitors.
