Building an Effective Team

Introduction

In many successful organizations, all employees and stakeholders of these given organizations who make up the teams that are responsible for their success always work harmoniously. When an organization’s employees or team members that work on certain projects work as a team, they can complete their projects with success. Thus, all project managers and other leaders in organizations need to come up with or design their teams in such a way that they will be productive and meet the company’s goals.

It has been agreed upon by professionals that the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization are propelled by the effectiveness of the organization’s management, the team that is working on a given task within the company, and the ability to solve problems when they arise (Gupta). This paper is going to discuss the way that Ailcyons is a profit organization is going to design its team so that it can be able to meet the goals that have been set for this project.

Building an Effective Team

The team that has been assigned the role of working on a project within an organization is responsible for the success of that given project. Similarly, if the project fails, the team will also carry the responsibility for the project’s failure. Because of this, there is a need for the company’s project management team to come up with a good design of the team that will facilitate/aid the successful completion of the project at hand. According to the demands of an effective team, its design must accommodate certain features such as cooperation and coordination among the team members (Gupta, 2014). The members of an effective team need to also have good communication among themselves and the organization’s management, comfort one another and have good conflict–handling skills that will help them meet the organizational goals on the task that they have been assigned to work on.

For a team to be effective the coordination land corporation of the team members must allow them to produce a good working environment that will allow them to meet their goals. This means that they must brainstorm ideas while working on projects, come up with effective strategies that will help them to meet individual and teams’ goals. When the team has been designed in such a way that coordination and cooperation between the employees are allowed, the team will be effective in its endeavors. Communication comes in hand at making sure that the team is effective. This is because “organizational communication includes the purpose, flow, and direction of messages and the media used for those messages (Champoux, 2011).” With good communication among the team members, the company can effectively manage them.

Good communication among the employees will help them to work and meet their targets because it will aid them in being more productive while working as a team. Communication will facilitate the comforting of the employees when they go through a difficult time in the organization. This will help them understand that the organization cares for them. This will make them do more for the company. Through good communication and coordination, the company will have the ability to manage conflicts effectively. By doing this, the working environment in the company will be accommodating resulting in an effective team.

Conclusion

An effective team plays a significant role in an organization. Based on the discussion that her been presented in this paper, food communication and coordination among many other factors that have been discussed herein play a significant role in the effectiveness of a team. So that the company can be able to see through the successful completion of its projects, it needs to design its team in such a way that it will facilitate a good working environment.
